News / English vs. Polish hostility [323]

So what goes out to the world as the situation in this country is a slightly warped interpretation

As is everywhere else :) I witness other peoples warped interpretations about people in America all the time on the internet....1 sec I have to get my buddy George Bush a beer ;)

News / English vs. Polish hostility [323]

Zgubiony, I hope you know that I haven't meant all Americans

Of course not ;) It's all good Puzz.

Everything will be fine...you're right about that.

Cheers.

I wonder where you get this impression from.
Some parts of the British media like to stir things up.
The reality, I believe, nearly always, is far more mundane.
Occasionally, stories pop up that sell newspapers.

I've seen a few people here, but I know better than to "assume" by just what's written in this forum. I have seen it in the online media though. The one thing that's tough is figuring out who's not legitimate or who's way right-way left. Especially if it's foreign media :) I honestly don't think any media will be square with you...... :/

News / English vs. Polish hostility [323]

In reality, there's a much bigger 'influx' of non-Poles to UK, than Poles. It's enough to have a walk in any Brit city to see this. What dwindlng jobs? The (low-paid, low-status)jobs the Poles take are so numerous there's an acute shortage of labour for them. Folks often work 'long shifts' (minimum ca 12 hours) for this reason.

:) Ok. I should've qouted that. I can honestly say that I don't know from experience. This is just through research. Maybe they aren't "dwindling", but rather people are giving that impression.

I also realize that there may be an influx of non poles as well, but this was just in comparison to the amt. of PL that come to the US. As you may know...we aren't so popular any longer ;)

News / Poland torpedoes EU Day Against Death Penalty [71]

American death row info: deathpenaltyinfo.org/article.php?&did=1397#aging

I m against death penalty, just because sometimes it happens to kill innocent person, and for those innocent one, we should spend our taxes to held those all killers in prison

I'm against, but only under certain circumstances.......

evidence was rock solid and met certain criteria

If it's worth keeping them alive then they need to make better use of them...and I don't count picking up trash as one of them ( not that we don't need it). That's a walk in the park.....they need to build their own island where they will rot ;)

The families of the executed are then charged for the cost of the bullet.
I assume you are not advocating such acts,

Nah....

All the while they waste tax payers money which could really be spent on better things!

We need a new island for these people.

But, who can say what the Puzz experienced for himself here? I witness many ignorant people in NJ that have comments about someone being PL if sth is done backwards, but I also hear similar things (depending on scenario) about other minorities, so I really can't say from my experiences that "polonophobia" is running wild around here. Depending on when he was here, he could've very well experienced some sort of issue.

Nowadays, the tension seems to be more focused in the UK due to the influx of PL and dwindling jobs. I can see it there rather than in the US because we don't have a problem with the PL working. They've proven to be skilled, hard workers.

Beyond reasonable doubt should be the only measure.

Agree :)

lso, if someone has committed such heinous crimes, do I want to give them the easy way out?

No, but our taxes suffer to house and feed these morons.

Unfortunately This is true in many cases, but what about the "beyond a resonable doubt" convicted? People that are guilty of mass murder serial killers?

UK, Ireland / Polish girls 'too pretty' for British schools [150]

Beauty is more in Eastern Europe and Latin America. Its just fact. U.S, UK and other anglo women are just totally inferior to Polish women. They neither have looks nor brains. All they have is McDonalds and Britney Spears.

You're obviously clueless. How many countries have you travelled to?

And what of these "Eastern European" and "latin American" women that are born in the US or UK?

You're entire statement is rubbish and makes you look a fool.

USA, Canada / Polish immigrant's views on living in USA now - time to return home? [8]

It's harder to find a good job and "live on credit" as it used to be.

Whether you're Polish or not, life isn't easy here and we're all in the same boat. It is what you make of it. If you seek opportunity, it's there for you. If you're determined, you'll make it over the hurdles that life puts in your way and you can be whatever you put your mind to.

"live on credit"

True. If you look for the easy way out, you'll be seriously disappointed.

UK, Ireland / Poles top of UK class [41]

Polish students have been performing so well at UK universities that their recruitment services have begun to scout for candidates from Poland. So, for those of you questioning why the PL are UK bound, here's a good example of why. It's called hard work and determination for a better future.

Yes....if you want to call it that :) Compared to some "mass produced" beers, it's a little stronger.

It's pretty popular. I was drinking these in Blue Note. There was a redbull promo going on too.

The cherries are amazing too

Yes. I'm trying to locate sour cherries in the US and it's impossible.

All of the homemade liquors in Poland are fantastic and that's a plus.

Life / Homosexuals in Poland / Hands off (PETITION) [797]

just because your up front it does not mean that your right??? does it??

Right or wrong...these are just peoples opinions and in this big world there are going to be conflicting ones. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing.

Believe me it took me a while to get round to the idea that men liked men but eventually you have to accept that people are different and that includes sexuality

So, you've been there. We all have. Sometimes it takes longer to accept...or maybe even never.

Life / Homosexuals in Poland / Hands off (PETITION) [797]

Some people are more passionate about their feelings towards gays.

G is just a little more up front and in your face about it. He's keeping it real.

He's saying what a lot of people are afraid to. Whatever...it's a discussion.

Life / Homosexuals in Poland / Hands off (PETITION) [797]

IMO...There's sth psychologically wrong with you if you have to alter your body in such an extreme fashion. There's nothing wrong with being gay, but this is a bit overboard.

And yes, it's their parts and sth they'll have to live with, but the point was that theres sth wrong with them mentally. And I know they aren't threat to society, but to themselves. I'm not against it, but it's just not right to do.

UK, Ireland / Why do Poles come to England? [514]

Wow! That's a lot of attention

I see you've met Puzzler :)

they never have a good word to say about the English or the British education

Except.... At least with this degree, I can get a wonderful job. That's what the people I know say and I'm sure there are more out there like that.
