Work / The qualifications for teachers in Poland? [101]

TESOl and CELTA are two different qualifications. sure, ostensibly there are many similarities but they represent two different approaches to teaching english

if youre in sopot on a wednesday night make sure to hit papryka - say hi to glenn and if theres a skinny english blonde wandering about make sure to laugh at her shoes and demand she buys you a beer on bubba :-)

id love to reply to you but its not clear what youre trying to say...

i can make out you say something about poland having to change, yes, of couse they have to change... poland has only recently come out of a system imposed on them for 60 years and are now living in a new system... as i think you are saying, if they are to prosper and grow then they will have to adapt to their new reality, i agree, its as simple as that

Love / Polish girlfriends family, they want me to become Catholic. [20]

conversely, if her family put so much importance on their faith that they are not able to accept you have your own then are these really the values you want your children to be brought up with

as dasla say, the choice is yours but if you do make the decision to change your faith be sure that this is really the reason for their unwillingness to accept you into their family

Work / The qualifications for teachers in Poland? [101]

Harry

i have noticed over the years that people with CELTAs frequently view all other qualifications as secondary - is this a view you hold or do you see equal merit in other certifications, TCL and TIs cert TESOL as the 2 other market leaders for example

I don't need the CELTA...

its apparent that the CELTA is not needed to find teaching work in poland although arguably it might get you the 'better' job. do you see any merit in 'lesser' certifications - perhaps a weekend or online course - as an advisable starting point for people considering teaching english?

One who care about truth should always use facts in their proper context, and he shouldn't use them out of context.

History / Should Germany claim to be the victims in Poland? [510]

those weren't that good. obviously you are no comedian so stop with the humour and leave it to somebody that's actually funny

as i said mate, you need to get a sense of humour - the ability to laugh is not only the best medicine but will see you happily through life

UK, Ireland / TRUTH AND DELUSION ABOUT POLES IN UK [65]

Poles are prepared to accept these jobs on the lowest rungs.

this is appears true - i did a quick google from puzzies linked post to see what i could find myself - it does seem that they are taking bottom end jobs in many instances - it also seems they are doing a lot of uncontracted temp work which is having an impact on their earning potential, job security and minimum wage issues in the uk

History / Should Germany claim to be the victims in Poland? [510]

well mate, there was these 2 women walking down the edgware road in their hijabs... one turns to the other and asks 'does my bomb look big in this...?' but whatever, you see londoners are used to this sort of thing... the bombings are like london buses.... you wait ages for one to arrive, then four come along at once...

anyway, a londoner got on a bus... boom boom...
