Love / POLISH GUY AND BLACK GIRL! [52]

Part of my family came to Ireland from Somerset 400 years ago during the Munster plantations, but I am Irish, of Anglo-Irish extraction.

lol, I'd say you are pretty much Irish, but he was born in Poland and emmigrated to America as a child with his parents who were born in Poland also, how does that make him American?

I have Irish herritage but I consider myself English since the majority of my family are English and were born in England, had I been born in Ireland and moved to England as a child I would still consider myself Irish.

Love / If a guy was nice? [42]

deepak

The only reason indian woman are pretty safe from "white" men is because they wouldn't touch your hairy village looking girls - now don't go showing me pictures of indian actresses to try and prove indian woman are lookers, because I travel through cheetham hill every night and see how ugly you lot are! Any european woman who dates some son of a 3rd world muddy looking immigrant needs shooting!

not at all, but when it comes to Indians etc. i'd rather be safe than sorry and stay away. as for English and Polish guys... i think on average English or in fact all British guys are more handsome. sue me! lol

Well said! But be clear when you say British because Deepak likes to think he's British...But as we all know just because a dog is born in a stable it doesn't make it horse!

Study / Questions about Warsaw Institute of Technology & some about life in Poland too. [19]

ha ha ha ha ShelleyS..you and me are like two sides of a coin...we can never agree to each other hahaha...well there is no point in arguing.
Anyway, thanks for your opinion :)
...i was just wondering why beyonce married JayZ ..looks? nah..money? maybe..Inner qualities? i think i can bet on it hahaha

I answered your question, No? There was no argument from my side, I was merely pointing out facts.

Im curious, why did you chose Poland for your studies?

Study / Questions about Warsaw Institute of Technology & some about life in Poland too. [19]

Well, people who run after looks will always be there...but i want to know their % in poland..thats all

I'd say a large proportion prefer a man with good looks and money same as a vast majority of women in Europe, who would actually chose to marry an ugly poor man even if he does have a heart of gold? Ever wondered why marriages fail so often?

I just want to say that appearance counts..but around 20% of the total 100%...i have a strong opinion that its the inner looks that matters...when you come to the end of the road..no one will judge you by how you looked...but what you did in your life time...when a celebrity dies people cry to show off..all her looks are forgotten but what if a soldier dies? The whole country salutes him...even his dead body is taken in pride as if it were an expensive ornament...Hope you get what i want to tell

I understand you, but the above has very little to do with what a woman look for, it's about society, and by the way a soldier will get a small corner in the paper or a quick mention on the news - where as Jade Goody got front page news for nearly 4 weeks...thats just the way it is.

of course uhavent, dont be silly.Infact I never saw this in UK either....untill I moved to Brighton....

That was a joke right? I've seen pufters in most cities I've visited (quite a few) (I have gay friends so I can call them pufters too! ;0) ) - it's a social norm and nothing unusual to see to blokes holding hands in the UK these days...Im sure it's quite different in Poland, but Im also sure that will change over the years.

3)Can i do a part time job in poland? By part time job i mean any kind of job-fit-for-a-student [My English is good (at least my English teacher says that :D)]

That wont help much since they speak Polish in Poland.

5)Ok..so a last question...may sound weird...Can i have a polish girlfriend? :D :D
wait..before you answer that question let me tell you why i asked that question...Among Indian females, light travels faster than sound...so females judge others by their looks...i know several countries where such thing doesn't happen at all! can i count Poland among those countries?

Which countries are these that women do not judge a man based on his appearance? Im not Polish but I'd say Polish women will judge you on how you look and what your prospects are, the same as an Indian woman.

It won't work. It didn't work in Vietnam

If I remember correctly you lost that one!

Never underestimate the power of the Taliban or their aims, whilst they might not take over the US they quite possibly might have the nuclear armour to destroy it IF they get a grip on Pakistan who are incidentally next-door to India who also have weapons....

Whilst I don't dispute the above, I would point out that we openly accept non-Muslim individuals who are connected to groups which have blown up civilians. What's worse is that we have elected such individuals/groups.

Who?

Travel / Places to visit near Czech border, help please. [27]

Me and two friends plan to visit poland in early july. The idea being to visit the czech rep and then a few towns in poland reasonably near the border. ( ie an hours train journey or approx 60 KM).

Anyone like to recomend anywhere ? What we would like is.

Places that are not full with tourists, or at least British tourists as it will not seem like a holiday ( i am English and live in UK).

Somwhere where there is a bit of night life ie a couple of clubs and a few bars.

Fair price for accomadation.

Dont bother, stick to exploring Czech Rep and do Poland another time, whilst public transport is great, it is slow and not exactly every 10 minutes...There are quite a few great cities to visit, there is life outside of Prauge!

We can take the Russians out of the picture since they are in prison, so that leaves 14. 8 of which are muslims, 1 is a Jew and the rest as far as I am aware have not been connected to groups that have blown up civilians or openly glorify suicide bombings.

I just tell them to go f themselves if they do.

Im sure the residents of Swat in Pakistan who are now under Taliban rule were all just "dying" to tell the Taliban to go f themselves! The women didn't have to cover up, now they can't even leave the house, schools have been destroyed and public beheadings are frequent...This is what they do to their own, can you imagine what they would do to 'non-believers'...

By the way if you are not familiar with the Swat Valley, it was a popular ski resort which was popular with Westerners...

News / Poland..wake up to a multicultural world [1059]

And what went on in the balkans at the same time as rwanda shelley,or is this selective memory contagious, mexicans bring the flu,Poles bring amnesia...

I said on a 'grand scale', I haven't forgotten about the Balkans or in fact closer to home (Ireland). But the Balkans have had peace for a considerable amount time now, the same can not be said for the majority of Africa.

Why do you feel this, like I say,is your link to our culture so weak that you will let it slip away because someone tells you to? How can we lose our identity? I dont feel black or muslim just because a few of them live near me,do you?
Seriously,Im interested in getting to the bottom of why some people fell they will just hand over their own culture as soon as it rubs up against another.
I may be wrong but, from experience it always seems to be people with the least knowladge of "their" culture and certainly a very low input into "their" culture who bleat about losing it.

I certainly don't think Im going to turn black or muslim, but I do feel that the recent changes in schools and their changes to the curriculum, i.e. no more teaching about our history in so much as kids wont learn about our kings or queens or about various historic battles that we fort because most of the kids that attend certain schools are not from this country so they don't feel it's relevant to them.

The fact that Urdu is being tought in primary schools when kids should be concentrating on English, the fact that we are called racist for wanting to fly the union flag or St. Georges cross, the fact that the St. Georges parades and celebrations were cancelled as they thought it might cause racial tension, the fact that we have to print leaflets in 20 different languages and employ tranlators because people cannot be bothered to learn English, the fact that our soliders get abused in the street after they come home from fighting and the only ones that are charged are white British people because they took umbridge at the offensive nature of the banners and chants from so called British muslims who have no respect whatsoever for this country.

The powers that be are too afraid of upsetting minorities so instead they throw money at them for every diversity project there is whilst all the while libraries are closing their doors.

As for me and my connection with culture, history has always been a pleasure for me, I particularly enjoy the industrial revolution, a part of our history which we should be proud of, we formed unions, Acts that protected children and the poor and shaped the country for the better. From an enjoyed side of culture, I enjoy visiting friends who are lucky enough to live in nice villages, so I can take part in well dressings and the odd village fate, I particularly enjoy visits to the Imperial War Museum and can't resist a good flower show ;0)

Oh I forgot, Last night of the Proms in my local park in recent years has been a real treat, funny thing was there wasn't one black or brown face to be seen, so much for integration...

And we slaughtered each other in barbaric ways, burned for being the "wrong" religion etc

Past tense, they are still doing it Africa on a grand scale.

Ah well, all you poor white folks who see "your" culture as being so weak that "substandard" cultures will sweep it away....if "white" culture is so weak and easy to crumble apart, wtf are you so proud of and why would you want to preserve such a weak culture? Or isd it the people who spout this crap that are weak? Probably,Im white,European and I cant see myself giving up any of my culture,I happen to have a little more faith in my fellow whiteys to not be overwhelmed by anyone else.

Nothing wrong with preservation in order for our children to enjoy the same things we did, for our children not to feel foreign in their own country, nothing to do with feeling or being weak, it's about losing our identity.

Africa wasn't a third world ****hole until it was robbed of it's natural resources and divided by English and French

You forgot the Dutch oh and further back the Arabs. Also you might want to consider that Africa is a continent made up of 47 countries, very few of them are without troubles, not all of them were under the sovereignty of the British or the French or the Dutch.

Like previoulsy on mainland Europe there have been land / boarder disputes, unlike mainland Europe Africa does not have the collective inteligence to know when to stop killing each other, until that point it will be an impoverished festering heap of **** from which people can't wait to escape!

Love / Gay Interracial Polish Dating [36]

-- HIV/AIDS but also:

It's not a gay thing - HIV/AIDS doesn't really mind who it infects.

numerous other infectuous bacterial, viral and fungal diseases,

see above

higher rate of domestic violence agaisnt each other than amongst heteros

Oh dear, have you seen the stats for women who are abused?

higher rate of substance abuse

Well, I may give you that one, as Im sure being persecuted by homo bashers does cause a certain amount of stress.

higher promiscuity rate (more partners)

Now that made me larrff...we live in a world where men and women change their partners more than they change their underwear.

irresponsible lifestyles (more frequent unprotected and casual sex),

Sexual transmitted diseases are on the rise amongst divorcees in their 50s and 60s

physical trauma (damage) to the sodomised partner (that anatomical orifice was designed only for ejection, not injection).

Oh well, having unprotected for a female increases her chance of cervical cancer. Plus there is the fact that hetrosexual couples engage in anal sex.

No-one said that ALL HOMOSEXUALS are paedophiles, but that small minority does account for one-third of all the offences.

That was exactly what you inferred by your remark:

It was also "revealed" that homosexuals, although scant in number (a mere 2-5% of the population), account for a full one-third of all paedophilic assaults on children (usually young boys).

The point is that this is all new to Poles who think they are discovering America.

The point is Polonius, a young gay man no matter what his nationality is on a voyage of discovery and it doesn't matter what country he is in.

Love / Gay Interracial Polish Dating [36]

Warsaw's Stefan WyszyƄski Unviersity is holding a conference on why homosexuals live 15-25 years shorter, according to Gazeta Wyborcza. It was also "revealed" that homosexuals, although scant in number (a mere 2-5% of the population), account for a full one-third of all paedophilic assaults on children (usually young boys).
Just goes to show how far behind the Poles are. These facts have long been known in the West and are only just now being discovered in Poland.

To to make something clear Polonius, gay men do not assault children, paedophiles do, there is a distinct difference, but someone as ignorant as you wouldn't know this.

I'll have to find some credible source for the ages that gay men die since Im not going to believe what Polish stats say since I would imagine they are quite bias against homosexuals, they're hardly going to promote that gay men live healthy happy lives along side hetrosexuals!

News / WORKERS in Poland MAY DISRUPT 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION [5]

I don't know what the situation is now with the shipyards but there must be a reason why the workers feel so strongly about the situation. It can't just be ignored.

They are losing their livelihood, look at what happened to the ship yards in the UK..no amount of protesting will save them.
