For all of you who have lived during both eras---what are the differences or simularities in daily living for the average Pole. If you had a choice, would you prefer the communist way of life compared to your life today.....let me rephrase.....are there parts of each system you would combine to obtain an optimal living situation? Does this make sense?

I am being totally serious when I say this, but I actually heard on the news last night that in England, they were celebrating National Impotence Day (LOL). Yesterday was Valentine's Day, and I would hate to think there was a problem with impotence on that day (or anyday, for that matter). And come on Impotence Day? Somebody please tell me this is a ruse.
Did you know that it is "Doughnut Day" here in Poland.
I am being totally serious when I say this, but I actually heard on the news last night that in England, they were celebrating National Impotence Day (LOL). The flavor:).....actually, I was never aware that we ever had JITB in the midwest (I only saw it in the south and the west), but if it was shut down due to its serving horse meat, my guess is they didn't advertise it as such.
