Yes you are so right, I think that most countries should adopt this type of ID it is much easier as you can carry it in your wallet/purse, I for one dont carry my passport everywhere only when needed for ID purposes or traveling, so it makes it a much easier for everyday use.

This actually sounds like a very good idea, I still presume most Polish people still have passports etc for ID purposes when looking for work or bank accounts here in the UK, or will the ID card still work for that..

What is this ID card ?? I thought that even though Poland is part of EU you will still need a passport, the onlay place I can go without mine is Ireland, Scotland or Wales... Can you leave the UK back to Poland with this same ID card ????

Its a very simple logic really, if you walk into a shop and blatantly pick something up and walk out with it in your hands without paying, knowone tends to notice you because you are not trying to hide anything,

whereas is you walked into the same shop and shiftely put it into your pocket, looking around checking knowone is watching then you are more likely to get caught.

So far so good in oxford, They seem to mix very well in our community here, in my local we have about 4-5 regular polish drinkers, who know and get on very well with everyone. 95% of the Poles i have met here also talk very good English and can communicate on a very good level, with exception to the odd wrong word or missunderstanding, so yes I think they have intergarated very well.
