The war in Europe was over in early May 1945. The bombs on Japan were dropped on August 5th and 9th 1945. Stalin did not push the cold war too far for fear of the Atomic bomb. Russia had not yet perfected it.

Yes, war is hell. There are good and bad in every War. Men are not created equal. We all react different. What makes one man a hero and the other a coward. Why does one crack under combat while another fights on. What does one do when sitting in a fox hole on a cold snowy night and hear a noise. I am not denying that there were instances of that.. But I want you to show me proof that it happened. The only case that I know of is when Sepp Deitrich ordered American speaking paratroopers to from behind American lines to cause havoc. They were caught an executed by a firing squad as spies, according to the Geneva rules

BS , BB. There was no isolated 16 yr. old boy alone. History shows where the Americans were lined up 8 deep, and under orders a truck backed up and opened up with a machine gun. In all honesty I have to admit that the average German soldier fought well, especially when they were overwhelming other countries.
At this time their morale was high. They were convinced that they were supermen.
On the other hand there were the SS crazies. They were fanatics. A good example, Panzergruppe Joachim Peiper and his mad men murdering American POWs at the Malmedy Cross roads on December the 17th 1944 in Belgium

Maybe somebody should have told these officers that. The German soldier fought in fear of retaliation from above. They were not the heroes that you make them out to be.

The Battle for the Bridge at Remagan
Although the Germans intended to destroy the bridge, they were unsuccessful. Several attempts failed, thus the Americans were given a clear passage over the Rhine, altering the course of the war. Hitler laid the blame for the failure on five officers who were collectively responsible for the whole bridge complex, calling them the "traitors of Remagen." Four were immediately executed, however one was already in American hands as a prisoner. Later, historians called these men "innocent scapegoats".

I am no fan of Germany. But one has to give credit where due. They devoloped the V1 and V2 rockets. The developed the Me262 Jet fighter. First used to try to destroy the Ludendorff RR Bridge at Remagan American P51 Mustangs and P38 lightnings could not catch them. Had they been introduced sooner, It might have influnced the outcome of the war.

On December the 16 1944 in the Ardennes. The Americans came in contact with the King Tiger for the first time. Prior to this they were familiar with the Tiger and Panthers. At the Loshiem Gap, the Germans broke through and the American 57mm anti tank shells just bounced of the thick armor. But due to the heavy weight and narrow roads,and snow. They had trouble maneuvering. They used most of their fuel before they reached American fuel depots. And were picked off by American tank destroyers and Allied plane rockets. Most were abandoned for lack of fuel

The T-34 is often used as a symbol for Soviet resistance and German arrogance. As such, its actual performance and impact on the war is often overrated. Irons, In America, our neighborhoods are all mixed (WITH CAUCASIANS) Italians, Greeks, Bohemians, German, Irish.JEWS But we live in harmony. When these immigrants came over in the early 1900 we were a melting pot. In my whole life, I never witnessed and violence with none but a certain MINORITY. We tend to stay together. There are NO Caucasian Ghetto's. Working class? Yes but really great people. But America is beginning to go by the wayside. I know nothing about the Arab culture.. So far America has had no problems with them. I for one have never met one.

But as for poor Polish and other caucasian neighborhoods occupied by blue collar workers, It is a honor to live amongst them. the homes are over a hundred years old, but they are well maintained, painted, and kept clean . The streets are swept, no trash is allowed to accumilate and one can walk the streets at night in safety. There is NO CRIME.
