Love / polish boyfriend has wrecked my english [48]

I have had to talk to foreign nationals a great deal more than the average person and find myslef taking on a whole new version of English when i do so. Talking loud and clear and breaking down sentences such as "what you like".

Occasionally I find myself still talking like a foreigner when i dont really need too, self moderating is required i think.

I agree, i talk to non English speakers everyday and find myself doing the the same thing.

toilet paper, this is great, but i do agree lambi is great for shit tickets, and no breaking the fingers through for a mess, just another question, what about the crap napkins, come on, you think at restaurants they could afford to buy something better than those single thin as a hair ones....

Tesco and Carefour have ginger ale available here in Wroclaw, so i would have thought you could buy it there also.

Eric,

Welcome from another local Wroclaw guy. What is happening in Poland is no different to other big compaines around the world, its coming for the natives of the company to be paid quite well, while the workers get bugger all.

Asian companies are quite well known for this is the industry i work in, I have travelled many times to all the asian countries for work and this to them is normal, depending on your position within the company.

Yes, I saw that the other day when ikea, did use there other store in the city a bit, may go have a look for some lamb. Problem is you can still only buy the pataks jar indian stuff there and other places like tesco..

yes i have been told it is a wonderful sight to see at night, will take a look for the first time, Wroclaw, was told that the cemetry buy the river is the largest in town, is that correct. Magda told me before the bridge was built, they used temp barge bridges because of the traffic..

Hi All,

Looks like all the shops are starting to sell out of flowers and candles for this years remember the dead day. I have never been in Poland for one as have been away for work on the last 3, but this year i will get to see it. Yes i know it's not a show, but a way for people to remember loved ones, but it seems to me to be a bit comericalised.

Did you go with your parents, what are your thoughts?
