Love / I'm a turkish guy who thinks that polish girls are slutty [113]

Well Shelley, there was a song which English fans sang after the Leeds-Galatasaray debacle (stabbings and what have ye). 'I'd rather be a Paki than a Turk'. Germans, esp from Berlin, would probably agree.

Turkey, yeah, the country which should have been under far greater scrutiny after 9/11.

5-star hotel for 3 months? U r off ur chump laddie, whose credit card did u steal for that? Making kebabs doesn't generate that kind of income, or were u blowing ur life savings away?

Or r u one of those who conspire with American agents and make a lot of money through swindling?

That's right, manipulation is rife and it works both ways. It is deep in the psychology of certain people, the inner drive for control and using of others.

The coffee was smelt a long time ago in my case.

Faithful Turkish women?? What, under threat of death for cheating? Cheating will always happen to some extent as some just can't resist their urges. Turkish women are no exception.

Very often, the label 'slut' is just a sad excuse to have a hack at another person, perhaps through some personal weakness of their own. Live and let live, sex is not illegal between consenting adults. Taking an interest in it makes u kinda part of the equation too. Turn a blind eye and stop name calling.

Life / Poland Miracles [7]

Yeah, communism disappeared and hasn't resurfaced ;)

That is a miracle in one interpretation of the word. The grip of communism was super tight, perhaps even tighter than a Scotsman's grip on his wallet when it comes to paying for sth :)

I think communism does lie latent but it's had its day and won't rear its ugly head again, we hope.

What miracles did u have in mind? Since it was me?

Then you have only seen one type of Polish girl. I don't believe that the majority are slutty at all. Flirty, that's a laugh. Most just go out with friends and chat about their problems or purchases or whatever else.

Yeah, opposites attract but that's just the holiday mentality. Or being elsewhere mentality. When I went abroad, I looked for girls. It's normal. There is sth nice about being with sb from another culture. Did it make me a slut? No!!

It's not a dislike of Polish guys, it's a liking for sth exotic.

Genealogy / Brzeskiewicz / Kroll Names [16]

My student was a Zbigniew Kroll, he know lives in Japan. He is an eminent scientist, formerly of the Warsaw Institute.

He contacted me quite recently, I proofread stuff for him for international symposiums. He may be able to shed some light on this.

UK, Ireland / Integrating Polish people into the British society [150]

Those darned elephants :) R u the son of Alf Garnett, Mr H? Just kidding, I see what u r trying to say. We criticise the Chinese for sweeping problems under the carpet and we don't take the bull by the horns either.

History / Scotland and Poland. Mutual connections since 1576 [45]

This thread has potential. It dropped without contact. 1576 is a bit too far back but it's worth mentioning that many Scots went to live in Poznan. Poles also helped us in WWII.

News / Donald Tusk - the worst PM of 3rd RP. [79]

Ur friend £ukasz may disagree with u on some of these points Greg. He had a phase of unearthing successes which could be partially attributed to Tusk. I agree with the lower taxes part of things.

News / What is the future of Catholic church in Poland. [154]

First or not first, others later can form different interpretations of the Bible and build up a steady following. Has history told us that the first to devise or conceive sth has always been correct and not refuted later? No

Life / Is Dining Out Popular in Poland? [9]

I'd never eat at the sushi bar here, pure extortion. I think fast food culture is more prominent in Poland but it just depends on where u r. There are those in Kraków and Warsaw that fall into the trap of thinking they can dine out frequently. I wouldn't say it was popular like in Italy for example

Sorry, I agree with £odz on this one. Maybe he recognises tolerance from seeing intolerance. There is a perception, whether £odz or I agree with it is another matter, that Catholics are rigid and stubborn. Perhaps even righteous.

U gotta ask urself (do I feel lucky?...LOL) how this perception came about.

Food / Best way to drink Zubrowka??? [20]

Yeah, there's Cappy in Poland too. I dare say it'd make a good mixer. Everyone goes on about apple juice but Żubrówka is pretty versatile, just experiment.
