USA, Canada / Need some help finding mini bottle of Polish Liquor (NY area) [5]

You can try the International Food Warehouse and Liquidators in Lodi, NJ. I've seen 50ml bottles of Zubrowka in there. You also may want to go into Greenpoint Bklyn. most of the liquor stores should have small bottles of most. Good luck

if you can't find what you're looking for, maybe we can work sth out. There are a lot of stores by me in garfield that have some.

USA, Canada / The 2nd Amendment (USA), the right to own guns [261]

If it weren't for our right to bear arms, the American Revolution would've never been successful and we would be a British colony. The right to bear arms was created to maintain our freedom from government....any for that matter.

Life / Why are Polish people cheap? [126]

I dont buy cheap because if I did, I would be sacraficing my familys well being
and thats not worth it.

You wont buy sth because it's marked down in price? Most of these things are overstock. How would that effect their well being? Now kmary or Wallmart may be questionable.

Life / Local Poles taking advantage of foreigners living in Poland [235]

Does anyone else here get the 3rd degree when going through PL customs? To me I'm normal looking and not suspicious, but when i go through customs they flop through my passport about 20 times every few seconds staring at me. I feel like I need to stand at attention with my hands at my sides and a stone face :)

News / Has global warming affected Poland? And in what ways? [73]

We have one near my place that is lucky to be open three weeks a year now here in the US

C'mon, You're in Indiana. What do you expect? You don't have any mountains above 900 ft so they're relying on man made snow most of the time. The mountains where I ride in the North East are over 3000 ft and have 20-60 inches base which is bad for this time of the yr, but at least business is ok.

In Poland it's been 2 yrs in a row that conditions have been bad for skiing/boarding. Even slovakia had exposed rocks early january and the Czech Rep. had maybe 24 in man made base.

This yr in Zakopane there have been more injuries than any other season in history. This area is not good to ski/board when there's so little snow.

Love / POLISH CIVIL CEREMONIES TRADITIONS AND TIMELINE [8]

It'll definitely be less formal and will only be immediate family. Depends on the family, but a wedding celebration regardless wether civil or traditional will be a good time.

UK, Ireland / I'm designing a Polish restaurant for British people - need information [44]

That's good stuff. I just started eating it here. We have a new Indian rest. and it's so good.

I'm sure if a PL restaurant would open in the UK you can find a few good homestyle cooks. I think it would get business especially from the PL ppl and like sapphire say's ppl with PL interests.

Good luck

Travel / POZNAN LAWICA [9]

There may be 1 right after customs, but i've never had to use it. It's 1 lg room, so if there is one you'll find it easily. maybe you can do this before you land? Do you have a layover in another airport?

Travel / POZNAN LAWICA [9]

You have to first go through customs when you get off of the bus. There's only 1 arrival terminal, so it's easy to find your way. You may have to wait until you get your luggage, but it arrives in short time.

Language / Duzy / wielki - synonyms? [44]

However she thinks she is fat.

This is quite normal with some women and in most cases far from truth :)
