Do you feel Russia would continue to threaten Baltic states if Germany took on the role of protector of ex communist states? IMO, Germany could hold major power for peace by protecting the rights of the ones Russia keeps toying with.
When all of the states stand together and give a clear message that it's time to grow and use resorces to better Europe vs. stepping on each other to advance ourself I feel with the talent of the people in the arts, education, and beauty of the lands there is no limit to what could be achived.

IMO this backfired on Russia and showed Putin how many will not go backwards in time. If Putin was able to pull this off there would be others in their sights. I applaud the standards put in place by western powers, EU and NATO.

Any Country that is free is able to defend her people. Poland is no differant in this. There is no balance at this point, Poland walks on egg shells while she becomes independant just as Ukraine and any other baltic state.
Why do you feel Russia is upset with Poland protecting herself, do they have this right and in fact they give there "anti missle shield to Iran" and it's ok as long as they pick who gets it?

I have, depends on the station you watch "NBC" was defending Russia while "Fox" was pointing it out.
I find the sad part is you cannot trust the word of Russia because we all know first hand they have done this before. Masters of making their victims the guilty and Russia the hero's saving the people.
I haven't heard condemnation from Western governments over what Georgian troops did to innonent Ossetians

Although the government of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk slightly criticized the blitz-visit of Lech Kaczyński, it stated that the USA is now eager to provide Warsaw with "real security guarantees" in exchange for deploying AMD elements on the territory of Poland. Here deploying American Patriot missiles and streamlining the Polish air defense are meant. Yesterday U.S. negotiators arrived in Warsaw, which can be regarded the first palpable international outcome of the Georgian war.

In 1951 my family lost their homeland. What Russia wants Russia takes. They call this peace keeping, at least call it what it is.
They will just shut everyone off fuel.
Not the ones I know, it was a forced immigration and a life of starting over, working in a country that took them in. Mourning the homeland that they were denied.
The basic threat is not the missiles itself but their navigation system on the ground that's able to track our missiles on the beginning stage of their flight.
