History / Poland-Russia: never-ending story? [1341]

So! My dear Polish brothers! You are a liers !!! In your passions toward us I feel some seeds of love and admiration!! Tank you, we love you too!!

CK you are too twisted for color TV! :)

(That's a quote from the movie Steel Magnolias, which I'm sure you haven't seen, but it seemed appropriate here!)

- Da, da, every time the Russkies invade somebody, they give the same reason: we came for your good. The reply is: let us care for our good, take your dirty paws away from us we dont need you.

And who profited from all the "good" that was spread?

We just want to cut US claims to interfer in Europe life!

And that happens by default.....anything or everything we do? :) So we just have no interactions with Europe? I wonder what effects would come of that? What do you think?

Russians were forced to interfere in Polish affairs to prevent consequences of polish giddiness

Giddiness! What giddiness? Speak English CK :)

To hate Americans? Damn, no !!! We have a different education system than in the US...I was taught to hate an American imperialism not Americans.

You know, that's just not how it feels when I'm talking with you. Especially if the conversation is taking place in the US Missle Base thread! I think you'd be happier if the US (AND ALL THE PPL IN IT) was just wiped off the map. But I don't feel that way about Russia!

By the way, the Russians are incomparably less prejudiced towards us than the Germans. The Russians don't consider us inferior to them. That's something.

Maybe, but this one seems to want Poland back! :)

I think he didn't get enough hugs or something.....such a kranky one! :)

P.S. We are so lucky in Russia: we don't have to hate someone else - those like Costya attract all negative fluids. I'll be damned!

Well thank you for your statement, Atilla. I don't want to go away from here thinking Russians are hate filled, miserable human beings. The ones that have I personally met are warm, kind people!

Travel / Poland in September-October [16]

I am usually chastised for over tipping. Good service - above and beyond - should be recognized.

That's good of you. I think the opposite is more often the case.....undertipping.

Food / Decent Coffee to Go in Poland... [15]

Donuts without coffee...surely you jest! :)

I miss Krispy Kreme....we don't have them out here (sigh).
I guess its a good thing....I recall that a donut is just about the worst thing a human can eat. (Poisonous combo of sugar, starch and fat.....yet oh so delicious!)

PS: I don't mind being called a Eastern European though. :)

Of course you don't.....
That's why I said this about you a while back...... :)

Daffy, it is your strong understanding that there is little difference between people per se, and nationality/culture that is such an asset to the forum. When someone says something racist, you are usually one of the first posters to "call it out", and redirect.

I know get get weary of repaeating yourself, time and time again, but I think it helps people to understand when you really spell it out with a case in point. And each time you do this, there are different people around, so your message isn't necessarily going down the drain.

I also admire Matyjasz for his cool, centered approach to those that insult and provoke. He is like someone sitting outside enjoying a drink, while some pesky gnat buzzes around his head. The gnat may be annoying, but it won't stop Maty from enjoying his drink. And if it gets too close, he'll just smile, and flick it away, and have another sip. :)

Love / California "Free Love" in Poland... [34]

This seems to be despite the fact that the girls strike me as being very approachable and friendly (Smiles and Glances are readily and warmly returned). But unlike other places I have traveled in Europe (Czech, Germany, Italy, Austria),

You really need to ask Southern about this......that is his area of expertise!
He will be around at some point....you two have a lot to chat about! ;)

Feedback / The growth of the Polish Forum Members..... [17]

All the above is true! Interacting with this crazy family has been an amazing experience for me. And many times, a cause for "laughing until it hurts" :) I can see so many examples where we have "evolved"....... and I have met so many incredible people (not the least of which would be my Bratski-what an amazing person!) :)

Long live PF! :)

Here here! :)
