Before there were permanent settlements in europe, peoples like Neanderthal and Cro-magnon crossed the Atlantic when the whole North of it was frozen. Nobody knows if they actually stayed because they haven't found bones, only their tools. Years after those people the Asian migrants crossed from Russia into Alaska. After them, but before Columbus, came the Vikings. "Vindlandsaga" anyone? They built settlements in Canada during the summers. These were not purmanent though. It was only for shelter when exploring the lands. THEN came Columbus.
I've studied on this extensively. I know what I'm talking about.
I should also mention that natives of Africa were thought to have crossed the Atlantic to South America. Modern day researchers tried using the same exact boats and made the voyage, under close supervison of course. This proved it. They could have done it thousands of years before the modern Europeans.
It was around 900 AD yes. They called the Native Americans the "Wild Men" and fought them sometimes.

Yes its confusing, but thats why Polish is the so called "key" to all Slavic dialects. We are the only ones who can speak with Russians, Czechs, Slovaks, some Serbs/Croats, etc. The Czechs I know have trouble undertsanding Russian. This might be due to location, but I've found this quite a few times. :0

Yeah, they have 17 of the top 20 colleges in teh world, but their primary and secondary educations are horrible compared to European standards.
I'm not complaining though, I have it nice here.

Yup. I started in integrated reading courses but now I am in Honors and all those classes. I could have done Collegiate Opportunity classes but I chose to stay with my friends instead. :)

Then we decide to build a STAR GATE and travel some more. Up until we get bored, build a time machine and go back to screw with the Earth and give the 16th century Polish future weapons that they then take over the world with. One people living on all corners of the globe. So then they fight back the aliens and the rest never happens.
