History / Who lost WWII (besides Poland)? [42]

Germany lost big time...

Wrong. Germany has the strongest economy in the EU. Also, Germany is now a united country, no longer divided into East/West and the walls around Berlin came down long ago.

Life / Why the Poles don't like AC (air conditioners)? [16]

I just looked at the weather forecast for Krakow with highs in the 70's and you are saying that is hot???? That's nothing. If the highs were like that here I wouldn't run my AC either. It saves energy not to run it.

wtf, sound quite similar to.... allah, allah france. Is this just coincidence?

Not a coincidence. France has been Islamic because of places like Algeria which it tried to take over at one point.

News / Precedent set in Szczecin for offending homosexuals? [60]

What makes me laugh about this (actually it doesn't) is that gay people

Exactly! Exactly!! ShelleyS this is what my posts are about. It's not fair. So many people endure ridiculous insults day after day but we aren't allowed to go running to the judge and have the people who slighted us fined in court and told to stop because they fear it would cause a lot of bad feeling and be a major disruption in society, if all of us were allowed this indulgment. People would be so pissed off all the time if they had to keep paying out fines because sooner or later someone would insult someone else by calling them ***** or fag or dumb or stupid or slut or ugly or fat...the list is endless. Fag is just another insult no more or less insulting than any other insult so why does this guy get some special ruling the rest of us aren't allowed. Sounds like he's sorta spoiled.

Lol, I was just joking around in general. I think it was a stupid ruling. It's just like the US, 'tyranny of the sensitive'.

It's the ultimate politically correct ruling and I hope to see more of this across the world. Good for Poland! The judge made the right choice. My hope is this catches on and we can get all sorts of foul mouthed jerks fined for being obnoxious gossipers. They deserve it!

I am going to stress this again and maybe this time it will register with your: it was in POLAND, not in the US.

Yeah I know it's in Poland. Did you bother reading my post where I wished it were over here?

News / Precedent set in Szczecin for offending homosexuals? [60]

do you know what precedent is in law?

Of course I know but it's pointless to think that anyone around here will ever be sued over neighborhood gossip. I know they don't want that precendent and they don't think it's a big deal. In other words, they don't care and they yell "freedom of speech" to cover their asses.

he got upset, sued her and won as expected… wouldn't u get upset that some b!atch is calling you names behind your back?

I would be more than upset I would be pissed off and disgusted but no one would care. They would say "freedom of speech" and get pissed at me for getting pissed off. They would call me unstable. If this case were over here, they would tell the gay guy "People can say whatever they want you got to put up with it you should hear what I hear about myself and there's nothing you can do about it". If he complained about neighborhood gossip around here.

you can sue people for that in the US, after all part of the US law is based on precedent.

Haha. No you can't. If you tried that you would get laughed out of court, the judge would hate you for wasting tax payers dollars on it.

In the workplace, if you can prove discrimination, you can try but a case like this, neighbors gossiping in a grocery store, would go no where.

People think sexual orientation, religion and race are all that matter but being called stupid, annoying, ugly, dumb, or sexy over and over can actually have worse effects than bashing based on the traditional three. Why are race, religion, and sexual orientation so sacred? Shouldn't harrassment be considered harrassment regardless of what it's about?

It doesn't matter because I was offended and they were rude and hostile. An insult is an insult. You think race religion and sexual orientation are all that matter? I want to clamp down on all these rude obnoxious jerks. We need more of this. Good precedence!

Better not flip me off because you don't like the way I drive either because I will be getting your license plate, recording it and saving it for our day in court!

News / Precedent set in Szczecin for offending homosexuals? [60]

Last year, Anna S., while shopping at a grocery store in the western Polish island of Wolin, said “a fag has gotten himself another fag” referring to her neighbour Ryszard G. and added: “I saw the fags going to a park to f**k one another.”

Is neighborhood gossip. In the workplace you can call it "discrimination" but what Anna S. did here is nothing but low down gossiping in a grocery store. This happens all the time. Can you imagine if people started getting arrested for it, lol. Where do you draw the line because people insult other people all the time. I want everyone who ever called me a name to pay at least $15000 a head because I am worth that and so much more. I deserve it and they shame me by saying their crap. It's a good idea. I hope it catches on.

Since when does the law care if neighbors gossip about neighbors. Oh man, I can't believe this! A judge stops a gossiping neighbor! I just wish some thing like this would happen over here. I would love to tell everyone who has ever gossiped about me to stick it where the sun don't shine take all their sorry asses to court so they get fined thousands of dollars. That would show them!

As long as we are on the subject of stupid comments it would be nice if this were extended to all kinds of things coming from the mouths of people I don't want to hear. I want to be able to take them to court and make them PAY for stuff they say about me I don't like.

I want the judge to slap them all with a gag order too. Man, I wish this judge were over here.

News / Madonna to Visit Oswiecim [15]

The Twelve year old Lourdes might. The two youngest ones won't understand or remember much but I am sure there will be plenty of photographs and a video recording so Madonna can tell them about the visit every year or something.

Come on Joe, you have been around these forums to know that Polish-Americans don't exist, they are just Americans. Same would apply for Italian-Americans, nie?

Yeah it would be true if all the damn anglo saxon americans would quit putting everyone into catagories.

News / How do people react when you tell them you are Polish? [71]

Just read the foreign whiners who live in Poland and post here. The same creatures who have no integrity to leave the country and the nation they so despise.

I don't know what their deal is. Maybe they are terribly alone?

Nothing to hide.

What does it matter anyway? You don't have to worry about "hiding" anything like it's some terrible horrible thing being jewish. You are either jewish or not. You have nothing to be ashamed of.

Life / Petrol theft in Poland common? [27]

So you mean that you do not have any sources which show that Poland has more of a problem with theft than your beloved USA,

I don't know about sources but I have what my own eyeballs see here and on the news. What we have in the US are people who go to the gas pumps, fill up and drive away without paying. That doesn't happen as much these days because of "pay before you pump" and security cameras. The cashier will not activate the pump until the gas is paid for by cash or credit card. That's the popular form of gasoline theft around here and it's nearly impossible.
