Life / What should Poland and Poles do, after first day of nuclear war? [133]

Crow, you should know by now that most Poles will side with America to snub Russia. This is the reality of it. The Serbians may have had the ability had Milosevic been allowed to steer his grandiose visions through to fruition. NATO was never gonna allow that and Poland joined at about the time Belgrade was bombed. A mere coincidence?

Love / I can't trust Polish women any longer - where to meet a foreign girl? [123]

You sound as if you are gonna go over there and, eh, lighten the load :)

Panienka, I remember you now. You were the one whose avatar was that of a man with a 6 pack, right?

Tris, she is Polish and she always seemed to be very nice on PF. You need your faith restored fellow.

UK, Ireland / Poles claim UK benefits after working only one year instead of going home [156]

That's neither here not there, harry. Stop causing antagonism with that guff. It's a union, things are shared.

Glaswegians, check Britain's unemployment figures. They don't make for pretty reading. Did you think Thatcher created anything even remotely close to full employment? She couldn't care less if the working class sufferred. Blair wasn't a major success story either.

News / Poland..wake up to a multicultural world [1059]

I agree with you in the sense of things like awarding MBE's and OBE's. However, society is just too wide and varied to put a meritocracy in place. There are just too many competing interests and value judgements to be clear on the modus operandi of it. You'd amplify the problem in this way, For4.

What's a system without people? Why make the implementers different from the runners of the system? You are right, though, just look at communism. Even I can say that some of the logic had some appeal but what a woeful system in practice.

Obama is even dissed by NWO folks like Alex Jones. Maybe there is a NWO but I don't see it visibly and have no proof of their influence on global affairs.

Work / Interview at a Callan School [204]

Graded appraisals, do you mean observations? The criteria is the same so I'm not sure what you mean here. Please clarify.

Language / The best way for me to learn Polish [89]

Practice makes perfect for sure! It can be done, just watch Europa da się lubić for encouragement :)

UK, Ireland / British Government keeps work restrictions for eastern Europeans [19]

Capping is not an alien concept in Europe. Farming quotas for example. Practically, it's hard to operate but manageable with concerted effort. However, such commitment evidently wasn't there.

Now we'll see another expensive campaign of platitudes and the hyperbole of 'success'.

That's the plan, Sir, that's the plan :)

There's too much seriousness and hostility in the world :( You know, you could get into all kinds of lines of thought here. Some would say, with some grounds, that we owe the Poles for WWII and not honouring them properly. That kind of talk doesn't sit well with Brits but, hey, if they want blue-on-blue..... ;)

The above to firebird :)

They have to be seen to be taking a stand and placating certain people who may switch allegiance to the BNP. I don't imagine the controls are that tight at all. I see that Labour changed its slogan to snub the BNP. Well, slogans are slogans but substance is what you are ultimately judged on.

The Poles are not tax dodgers as the bureaucratic penalties for evasion/avoidance are quite severe. The tax office is a feared institution here. I have to go there soon and submit my PIT :(

Any non payments may be through a lack of familiarity with the system or negligence in not registering (though their employers will/should keep them right). Nobody's perfect.

Life / What should Poland and Poles do, after first day of nuclear war? [133]

Russia has ambitious plans to build these up. The BBC has ran some documentaries should you care to look. Medvedev and Putin discussed it on RussiaToday and it's there for you to see.

Please remember, Russia is more covert/clandestine than the West. Your sources will never reflect the true picture unless you have inside knowledge. Go and ask Sasha or Kostik. Maybe you trust the Russian equivalent of GUS?

And it was the fault of the Poles that they lost their jobs? We all go through transitional phases and we can't live in a vacuum. Benefits should be seen as sth for transitory stages in our lives. Besides, the authorities monitor it more now under JSA.

Life / What should Poland and Poles do, after first day of nuclear war? [133]

Russia has helped Iran with nuclear development before and America and the international community have turned a blind eye. Still, Iran has agreed to join the forthcoming nuclear conference with the other big players. That augurs well for the future though it could be seen as buying time and false allegiance by some. It's all a game.
