one of the most famous places where that kind of people are created in Poland is :

Polish people translate it in way "Szczury gonią hajs". What means "Rats chase after money"
there are two different questions:
1) If we like them
2) If we need them ;)

(students form other economics schools in Poland would have the same answer for two questions ;) )

I feel that there are two different answers ...

I know that a lot of people feel satisfaction when puffed up person is unsuccessful ;) and some of them have problems after studies ... Most od them are successful (we talk about career) ...

as to SGH (link I have posted) they are very good in what they do ...

The main rating have been accompanied by 10 part-ratings, each of them including 10 schools being the best in a separate category. Warsaw School of Economics has been classified in three of them:

Best of Economics - 3rd position (just behind London School of Economics and Mannheim Business School,
Best in finance - 5th position,
Top salaries in finance - 7th position.

generaly hard work is the most important thing ... I feel that Polish students of medicne, informatics and economics know what I mean. In Poland poles have education for free so there is no difference poor or rich ... everybody have chance.

Interesting article, though I am not sure why you are using this to justify that massive chip that you have on your shoulder, Lukasz :)

honestly I don't have I just love to argue :) at least now we have freedom of speach.

A couple of highly talented Polish pupils have been given an amazing opportunity. Good on them!!

I would say that it is good for UK, competition brings progress ... it is good strategy and honestly we want to copy it ;)

Getting straight As in an environment like Cheltenham College is however no indication of success in real life.

I think that most of this so strongly motivated people will achieve what they want, we have some univ. in Poland where we create that kind of people and we see that it is very good investemnt (they are successful).

you know on this forum we have seen so many posts about lazy Poles unable to speak english ... and I wanted to show something new here ...

"for us failure is not an option, so we value discipline and hard work"

it is good motivated young student who knows what he wants ... I am sure he is going achieve what he wants.
Wthout determination of Polish people we would never be free ...

The fact that somebody is hard working and disciplined doesn't mean that he would sell his family.

I feel that we have false picture of Polish emigration in UK ... and I wanted to bring something new.

I love comments of young Poles under this article :) my blood :)

There is just one thing that differs us from the "typical" British - the will to succeed. For us failure is not an option, so we value discipline and hard work.
And after so many years of oppression, we are proving what we're worth. Not only builders and plumbers, but bankers, doctors and programmers (like me).
Good work, girls. I'm proud of you.

Education experts say that their achievements are a warning to British teenagers that the work ethic of clever Polish children, coupled with rigorous science and maths teaching at an early age, could see newcomers beating "complacent" British teenagers to the best university places and jobs.

"They have a hunger for success. and know from their background just how important a good education is for fulfilling yourself and having the best opportunities," says Alan Smithers, director of Buckingham University's Centre for Education Research.

Education experts say that their achievements are a warning to British teenagers that the work ethic of clever Polish children, coupled with rigorous science and maths teaching at an early age, could see newcomers beating "complacent" British teenagers to the best university places and jobs.

"Before I came here, I heard loads of things. The girls are so posh, from rich, good families. The truth is they are so nice and down-to-earth."

I don't agree with all statemnets there ... all in all article is positive.

as to success stories. Poland is success story :) and it is fact. esp when we know how Poland looked like 10 years ago.

as to reality on PF ;-) it is not real world :) sometimes I have feeling that I live in different country than presented here.

Seanus I am not trying to say we are better or something like that ... I just have found article about foreign students in Poland. and I think that Poland has opinion of backward country ... so I wanted to show reality and positive changes.

our education system is strong (can be stronger) ... and more and more people want to study here ... that is all.

97 % (agian) of Canadian, American European Asian African students recomends Poland as good place for studies.

so Polish doctors work where they want and earn enourmous money ... that is why Scandinavians and Canadians and Americans study medicine here. seanus you have learned Polish, so maybe you should read this article ?

why brits do everything to have our doctors in UK ? they are very proffesional.

not everybody is earning peanuts ... have you seen cars on Polish streets ?

What I want to add, the fact that 97% of students enjoyed their studies here, A lot of students come form Asia or Africa. Malesyan government decided to pay charges for their students ... they want their people to be educated in Poland ...

Polish doctors are one of the best all over the world (brits do everything to steal them ;) ) so Canadians and Americans are notcialble as well.

Of course even charges are lower than in different countries, it is noticable financial support for Polish education system (Polish students don't pay for education )

97% is 97%

this stat show that they get wat they wanted.

The point I wanted to make was that, in general, salaries are disproportionate to the high level of education.

it slowly changes, last time we don't have problems with unemployment ... and salaries started to increase.

Of course we need time to make our country pefrect ;)

Well educated foreign students with positive attitude towards Poland are great investment.

97% enjoyed Poland and studies here

it means that we are on good way ...

well for sure its not the food

one thing they don't like is that they feel that because of money they pay (Polish students don't pay for education) they have better accomodation or special treatment.

High standards of education :) Low level of pay :(

if we want to have more students in long term "lower prices + high standarts" is the best soultion. 97% of students are satisfied and it is good.

Students from USA nad Canada prefere medicine.

Students form EU countries don't have special preferences

every year we have 10% more foreign students.

Why Poland?

Celinski I have posted this all articles to show that everything is going in right direction.

I will quote Peres :

Now when Poland is free we started to have positive dialogue and there are some achievments.

I have checked Talia profile and she speaks some Polish even she hasn't been born in Poland.

There is saying than France is culture of wine and Poland is culture of vodka.

What it means.

Polish people are not interested in raltionships like

... and that is all.

Polish people prefere to have less friends or mates and have deeper relationship with those who they like.

In the result for somebody form foreign country it can look that we are cold or not friendly in public places.

I think you have noticed that it looks much different when you visit somebodys house or you go to party with your friends ...

Yes and the most common language (maybe even official) in parliament was Polish. Sorry no sources; i remember reading it in a book sometime ago.

Most of the Zionist political movements were founded in Poland, said Peres. In the first Knesset that was elected during the War of Independence, 61 of 120 members were of Polish origin, and in the first interim government headed by Ben-Gurion, six of 13 ministers were of Polish birth.
