In the book it is written that 4 Norwegians commited terrible attrocities.The four of them were killed while they tried to eliminate Polish civilians. The first one were an 18 yeard old man from Lier, the second a 17 year old man from Oslo, the third a 19 year old man from Oslo and the fourth a 25 year old from Bergen writes Aftenposten. Often on a red active way tho, but all of them were loyal to the king except for the traitors ofcourse. The children that were born after the war and had a father wich was a German soldier had some hard time.Just as Poland the legal government didn't surrender and escaped to UK with the king. But some politicians didn't betray Norway.But it is also wierd becaouse there were allmost no attrocities in Norway since Quisling worked hard so that it wouldn't happen. Also the Norwegians in UK told specificly that it shouldn't be any uprisings or partisant activities since it would lead to attrocities. Also Norwegians fighting as commandoes had to use british eqipemtn and uniforms and didn't use Norwegian flag so that the UK would get the blame.Tho in that way the NS in Norway used it as propaganda"Look where the king runs to, a country wich bombs us and destroy our ships" and etc.Thankfully 15 000 of some (today) 4 million Norwegians are a minor part of Norway.Every country has it's dark sides!

OP Mr Grunwald 33 | 2,176 19 Aug 2009 / #13For some yes, for others it's a source of pride.I am living in the place Lier (Wich one of thoose 4 soldiers were from)I was at School and one said out load "hehe my grandfather was in the NS!"I just so wanted to tell him "My grand grand father killed son of a ******* like him!"But the teachers didn't react on what he said so I got confused and were silent.I know some of Polands dark side, doesn't mean I tell it to everyone -.-Harry!
