My Great Grandfather came over to the US from Poland. On the ships manifest it said he came from a town called Wrombezyn or Wromberyn. After searching Google and several genealogy and polish sites I haven't been able to find anything even mentioning this town. If anyone knows of this place or an alternate spelling I would be greatful.

Is the place name on your documents hand written or printed ?

If it is hand written I would like to see an image of it. Because I don't trust the spelling.

JewishGen can't find a close soundex match.

OK, this might be stab in the dark, but there is a town called "Bierzyn" and if he's from Bierzyn it sounds like Wrombierzyn.

Just a guess.

It is a handwritten manifest. I will try to get a picture of it to send you.

Ok I have a picture of it, but it won't let me email you, because I'm new.
My email address is wmaleski96@yahoo.
Send me your address and I'll email the picture to you.

Thanks for the help
