Any information available on the Przedecz camp?

My grandmother was at some kind of labor camp in Przedecz, where she died in 1947. I've searched all kinds of websites about labor and concentration camps in Poland, but have unable to find Przedecz listed anywhere.

Any suggestions???

I couldn't find anything in English nor Polish, but here is a link to the town's website. There is an English version and Contact us. They should know.

Any suggestions???

Hmm... People on that picture look too good to be in any camp... maybe she was sent there by Gerries during WW2 as a slave worker (not necessarily to any camp, could be a factory, farm etc.) and later stayed there. What was her nationality ? Where did she live before ?

I was pretty sure this thread was a cheap provocation ( maybe Harry on another account ? ).

I've actually called Przedecz town hall and the resident IPN historian here in Wroclaw, there has never been any kind of camp in, near or around Przedecz, not even a prison.

This thread is officially a bullshit provocation.

Any suggestions???

I suggest you do not post random pictures of well fed happy children trying to back up your made up stories.

Any information available on the Przedecz camp?

This might help: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_community_of_Przedecz

This might help:

How does it help ? It just says there used to be some jews in Przedecz, there was never any camp or prison facility there, the closest you get is a police arrest.

I love it how you bastards always refer to Jews as if no one else died, fucking double standards.

How does it help ?

If you actually read it you might learn something. There is mention of where the Jewish locals were sent and also reference to the Ghetto that was created.

This information might help the OP when checking family documents and photos etc.
I find that when people make posts about past family they are on a voyage of discovery and even the smallest bit of information might help.

I love it how you bastards always refer to Jews as if no one else died, fucking double standards.

Once again, you are jumping the gun. The OP never mentioned faith. The link I have provided is meant as a guide, a starting point, in the search for a camp in the area of Przedecz, nothing more.

There was no camp in Przedecz in 1947, definitely no labor camp.

This information might help the OP when checking family documents and photos etc.

Type in "Chłopi komuna" in google images and you'll find his "family" between pages 23 and 25 i'll dig it up again, the picture comes from the 60s and shows a silesian family from an article in an old communist paper and Przedecz had no labor camps.

There was a labour camp at Inowroclaw about 44 miles North West of Przedecz. That's close enough. The OP may have had information that his relative was in a camp near Przedecz.

I did look but can't find the picture.

The OP says she died in 1947 not that she died in the camp in 1947. It may be poor grammar but the OP means his grandmother died in Przedecz in 1947, not the camp. Sometimes you need to read things more than once to understand what they mean.
