If I was in Warsaw I could go to the Embassy Commisary and get many things but it's rather a long trip for groceries.

If you have access to that, you're one lucky man. For me, the place might as well be Ft. Knox - I know it's there, but it does me no good.

It's small about the size of a 7-11 but stocked pretty good. I have only been there 2 times in the 20 months I have been in Poland. But last weekend I drove to Sopot and it wasn't a bad drive. I guess I'll have to do Warsaw soon. I'm not sure they are open on Saturday though and it's hard to get away from work on a weekday. I realy wish they had an embassy/commisary in Poznan.

Are any of the Americans on this forum living in Poznan?

I haven't found a decent Mexican restaurant in the tri city. El Paso in Oliwa has a good reputation but I think that's only among people who've never eaten authentic Mexican food. I won't go back again. I'm from the San Diego area and good Mexican food was everywhere. I've given up on eating it here unless I make it myself.

And In-n-Out makes the best burger by far.

Pizza here can be good if you find a place that doesn't drown it in ketchup. I can't quite understand that but it happens.

Fresh seafood and lamb are almost impossible to find.

Being so far from the sea, that's understandable, I guess... Lamb is a problem nearly everywhere in Poland.

HI I am having trouble finding all the information I need online if you could help I would appreciate it. Here are the questions I need answers too:

Is there McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut etc in Poland?
What food do they serve that is different then North America?

To be honest when last time I was in Poland (my family & I stopped on the road to eat at McDonald's ...McDonalds in Poland are much nicer, cleaner, nice interior design done...I was impressed) much more sophiscated over there

I hope that was sarcastic :) There's plenty of fresh fish near the Baltic...mostly fried cod and flounder, but it's still fresh.

In Poznzn lamb is easy for me to find. I usually get in Piotr i Pawel or Makro. makro also has tons of fresh fish.

I've been eating normal salads as Polish veg is fresh and tasty. Always a couple of eggs in there too. I do like fast food but I just can't eat it as it means instant weight gain for me. Others can eat it often and gain no weight.

On the drive out of Warsaw, I was asked if I wanted to stop for a KFC.
Was 'Ni chuja' the correct answer? It raised a chuckle and we ate sandwiches that had been packed for the journey instead.

U heard it here first. My proposed 'invention' would be the Kurwa Mac. Think about it, u have the Big Mac and Fish Mac, why not the Kurwa Mac? It would be one bi*ch of a burger ;)

Would it sell? I'm young and looking for a quick profit. NOT!!

Too many young prats trying to make a quick buck and not contributing much to anything in the process. I'm 30 and know how to stick it there.

Still, it would be worth floating the idea, the Kurwa Mac, it does have a certain ring to it. It would sell like hot cakes here although Mikky D's would lose it's 'family reputation' in a one-ner, LOL

McDonald's menu varies according to demographics. In some South American countries their restaurants serve empanadas. In Japan, they sell teriyaki burgers.

One thing were not lacking is Authentic Mexican restaurants, they are everywhere in Chicago.

I could eat Mexican food all the time, its that good:)

All that hot sauce will burn a hole through your stomach though

You would have to be a complete idiot to eat at a Taco Bell in this city.

, they sell teriyaki burgers.

Thats sounds like it would taste good:)

kidding? or true?

I dont think the Aussies eat Platypus...do they??

We eat Deer so Kangarroo meat doesnt seem improbable?
