Qacer 38 | 125 18 Jul 2007 / #1Do restaurants or stores like Denny's, Walmart, etc. exist in Poland? I would assume that in Warsaw they would have something like that, but I'm not too sure about other areas like Krakow or Gdansk.
Wroclaw 44 | 5,379 18 Jul 2007 / #4Depends on the time of year. At Christmas maybe yes. Sometimes midnight. Usually about 9:00pmUsually when a shop has 24hr written on the door it means it closes at midnight / 24:00
OP Qacer 38 | 125 12 Aug 2007 / #5Usually when a shop has 24hr written on the door it means it closes at midnight / 24:00Haha. Your post just made me realize that all the skleps and zajads that I saw with a 24H marking were not really open 24 hours. I was telling my friends that I saw a little store on my way to Gdansk that was open 24 hours. I told them that I was very impressed to see a little store located in the middle of nowhere that was open for 24 hours.

wildrover 98 | 4,441 9 Oct 2007 / #8You can buy quite a lot of stuff from 24 hour garages...and they are open 24 hours.....
wildrover 98 | 4,441 9 Oct 2007 / #10I see your point , but earlier in this thread it was pointed out that not all places that advertise as 24 hour are actually open 24 hours a day....I see many 24 hour places with a closed sign on them....
randompal 7 | 306 9 Oct 2007 / #11Are there any 24 hour establishments (stores, restaurants) in Poland?in Warsaw the folloowing are open 24 hrs/7days a week:1. Tesco2. Petrol/gas stations3. Small 24h supermarkets here and there, there is usually one in every neighborhood
cjj - | 281 10 Oct 2007 / #12Gdansk has at least 1 supermarket open 24/7 - a Tescos just off the Obwodnica. And our local petrol station (in the nearly-depths of the countryside) is open through the night as well - great if you run out of things like icecream, chocolate or motor oil at 3am.
