COUSINS OF PIEROGI?

Apart from pierogi, which have been called filled dumplings, dough pockets and Polish ravioli in English, there is a fairly large family of other Polish dumplings, doughballs and noodles. These include:

KNEDLE: filled or unfilled cooked-potato dumplings (plum-filled ones are esp. nice)
KOPYTKA: a type or unfilled cooked-potato dumpling
PYZY: raw grated or raw grated & cooked potato balls, filled or unfilled
KARTACZE: large raw grated potato dumplings typical of Podlasie
KLUSKI K£ADZIONE: unfilled egg-batter dumplings
Do any of these sound familiar? Any favourite recipes or ways of eating them?

none of those are really related except for having potatoes in them or made of them. however, the cousins are the chinese dumplings or the italian ones.

Polish ravioli

Ravioli yes I love them , I love pierogis also
Its a toss up but I`ll pick pierogis because of the variety of what goes into them.

Polish
Italian
Greek
Mexican

they all have good food, I`m staying away from that hindu/paki crap
I used to live in this highrise apt. building and my neighbors were from paki
and when they would cook the whole building smelled...phew!!!!
