Is 104000 PLN (yearly) a fair salary for a Software Architect in Wroclaw?

I am being offered to move to Poland from India. I have 8+ years of experience in software industry as Software Designer / Java Developer. I have two Master degree, one in Computer Science and other in Telecommunications. A Software Company in Wroclaw is offering me a job with 104000 PLN (gross) yearly + 12.5% bonus yearly. Is it a good salary according to my role, experience and education? I was told that I would get 67-70% of my salary as take home after tax deduction.

Sounds about average to me, not especially good or bad. But, that's just one opinion, and not an expert one. If it's not a rare IT skill you have, it's probably towards generous.

For non-IT jobs here, my research suggests Poles are getting about 2000-5000 a month gross/brutto.

InWroclaw is correct. It's average salary for this much experience in Wrocław. So I think it's a good offer, because the company will not pay more except if you're cheaper than locals or posses unique skills. Senior Java programmer sounds ordinary (of course there may be technologies you specialize and haven't mentioned here). Other thing is that people who earn above this level usually work as independent contractors in order to pay less tax. But because of Visa it's not an option for you.

Hi Monitor and InWroclaw,

I am going to work there in capacity of Software Architect. And I heard that this is not a very common job / skill set there. Isn't it?

What does this report says about Architect salary at page 11?

Thanks,

Ha! first poster who could find this link by himself. Congratulation. Every IT company must have somebody designing applications, so what unusual about it?
This report says that in Woj. Dolnośląskie (where Wrocław is) "Architekt / Application designer" was earning in 2011 between 7000pln and 12000pln gross per month and the most offered is 8000.

You have 8667 per month + bonus, which is exactly what report calls median salary + little more for salaries increase between 2011 and 2014.

You can read there also that in capital salaries are substantially higher: 18 000 14 000 25 000

It depends, if it's a regular position then it's around that. With 10 years experience in whatever they are requiring you could probably get a senior dev position somewhere in Wrocław and that would mean a little bit better salary.

But yeah this amount is just about it.

Dear Monitor,

I am seeked with a job offer in Poland.. The offer is yet to get finilized but I have a due commetmint of 2710.32 Polish Zloty back home.. So considering this, what offer can I expect if I need to stay there with my wife in a normal living apartment. The place of work is most likely Wroclaw, Poland. The offer which I may get is of service delivery manager.

You mean that you could get 2700net per month in India?

So considering this, what offer can I expect if I need to stay there with my wife in a normal living apartment.

You should be asking what You should demand and not to expect.

According to:
numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_cities.jsp?country1=India&city1=Mumbai&country2=Poland&city2=Wroclaw&displayCurrency=EUR

Consumer Prices Including Rent in Wroclaw are 14.20% higher than in Mumbai. So if you got 2700zł net from Mumbai then it equals to 3800pln net = 5500pln gross in Wrocław. Think that moving to Poland means extra costs of adjusting and travel back home.

As you can read here: https://polishforums.com/work/poland-senior-java-information-salary-73393/#msg1465994 exactly double that is a nice salary in Poland, because allows to live good and even save 1/3 for family of 2.

let me requote my question.. I am from India and according to Indian Rupee, I have a monthly loan of 2500 Polish Zloty (converting INR to Polish Zloty). And I am negotiating an offer with a software company in Poland and how much can I demand with my prerequirement of 2500 Zloty.. Hope this make sense Monitor?
