THE BEST BAR IN AMERICA isn't Irish. It isn't in a strip mall. It isn't the sort of place that charges an outrageous cover for people to stand around in black light pushing back shooters out of test tubes. It isn't a fight club or a meat market. There is no snobbery, and there is no tonic-water drinking. There are gimlets and manhattans, bottles of Zywiec, and a first-rate pissoir.

This review is from Esquire. Does anyone read that crap? Best bar in the USA? Whoever wrote this schlock obviously doesn't get out much. And what is the "best" bar anyway? We all have different tastes.

The best bar is where the bar tender knows your order, serves a decent pint, looks after you well and where your buddies congregate.

Nye's Polonaise in Minneapolis is a great place. It's been years since I've been there and I can't imagine the band is still alive-the drummer was 87 and the accordion player pushing 70 with diabetes.

Yes there is Polish beer in TX. I have found it only one kind but its Polish.
