Czećś guys :)

I plan on taking a trip to Kraków this summer. I'll take a plane to Kraków Airport. The path to the airport is easy cuz all I have to do is take a ride on a plane and transfer to another. Here's the thing, I don't know how to get the center of Kraków from John Paul. How to get the heart of Kraków? By bus? By train? By taxi? By walk?

Please tell me how to. In detail :)

One more need. Does anybody have any suggestions or recommendations for choosing a hotel in Kraków? I mean do you guys know any good hotels in Kraków? My budget is 1000zł -1200zł for 5 nights for 2 people. I'm looking for a hotel that is somehow nearby the center of Kraków, so that I'll be able to take a walk to the main market square or so.

Appreciate you guys in advance :)

Miłego dnia

I'll take a plane to John Paul II International Airport.

No-one calls it that - it's simply Krakow Airport.

One more need. Does anybody have any suggestions or recommendations for choosing a hotel in Kraków? I mean do you guys know any good hotels in Kraków? My budget is 350zł -400zł for 5 nights. I'm looking for a hotel that is nearby the center of Kraków.

400zl for 5 nights in Krakow just isn't going to happen. You can easily get a bed in a hostel for that, but you're definitely not going to get any sort of private room for that kind of money.

I made a mistake. It's not 350 -400. It's 1000zl - 1200zl.

Thanks for the reply.

Shouldn't be a problem then - 150-250zl a night is about "normal".

Hello OBAKA,

And welcome to the Polish forums.

If you are flying in to Krakow (Balice Airport).
I recommend you take the free bus that will bring you to the express light train.
The train will take to the train station in the centre of Krakow (cost 6 Zloty).

You can actually walk to the train, when you get out just follow the road to the right, it is about 500metres.
Buses too are cheap but then you don't know where you are getting off.
There are taxis outside, they are the most expensive mode of transport into the centre but if you have the cash, why not.

I mean do you guys know any good hotels in Kraków? My budget is 350zł -400zł for 5 nights.

I am not sure but for that price, I think you are looking for a hostel, Hotels start from about 200 per night in the centre.

You're welcome, please feel free to add to the thread and tell us about your trip.

Krakow is a wonderful city, I am sure you'll love it.

By the way the free bus to the station is from the airport?

It's a free bus 500metres to the train which you have to pay 6 zloty on.
So it's not worth the messing around for a 500m walk.

The train brings you to the main trainstation and a big shopping mall (Galleria krakowska).
From there it's about a 5 minute walk to the market square (the very centre).

I recommend you book a hotel first, then you can off load your baggage and explore.

If you have any questions, just ask.
