From Krakow to Warsaw. Where else can I go during Christmas in Poland?

Hello, I'm looking for some travel advice. I will be flying into Kraków on Dec. 19 and I'm planning to stay there for 4 nights. I'm flying out of Warsaw on Dec. 28. Because it's Christmas I'm not sure where I should go after Kraków! I'm a budget traveler, so keep that in mind. I am not picky about what I want to do, I just want to make sure there IS something to do/places to eat/etc.! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Oh, I do intend to spend time in Warsaw, but I wasn't sure if Dec. 23-28 would be too long of a period to spend in that city. Any thoughts?

i'm not sure it is still available but you can consider going to Białowieża (some 150 miles east of
Warsaw - it is quite a wilderness there with vast stretches of primeval forrest and you can see some pretty big wildlife including the wisents - as I have already mentioned it can already be booked out (there is a limited hotel base there)

it can be very snowy there at the time of the year but this year's autumn is very warm so it is hard to forecast snow conditions for the end of December

try searching 'Bialowieza the land of wilderness'

I'm sure little places would be shut.

i don't think Bialowieza is a good idea for a 1st time visitor in the middle of winter...

i recommend Wieliczka near Krakow with its legendary salt mine...

Are there places to stay in Krakow or Zakopane from 23rd Dec to 2nd Jan or does everything close for Christmas? Any hotels open? Any snowboarding etc?
