I enjoyed a place over by the Polonia Palace. If you walk out the door facing onto the main street, turn left and go about 50 yards and it is on the left. YOU order downstairs and then go to the dining area upstairs. Reasonable prices, good food.

Spot on.

At the moment the one in Dworzec Gdanski is good and the Croatian/Bosnian place (called Cevap) on ul. Chmielna is excellent.

Jon, you are the Kebab king of Warsaw, I am not really into kebabs more of a Falafel snacker, there is a kebab place which is constantly recommended to me by Marymont station, I am told is up there with the best. If you are after a bit of value spice at lunchtime, its hard to beat India Curry or Suparom Thai for the ' Lunch'

A friend wanted to go to that one and we went there. Either we'd found the wrong place or it had changed. There's a small chain in North Warsaw, Amrit, who do excellent falafel and hummous as good as any in the Arab world (and better than most!). I believe one of their places is round there.

Do they have a branch by plac Wilsona and it is run by an Egyptian chap by the name of Mo ( Mohamad) a former Sports massage therapist?

Yes. I'm not a huge fan, but that's more about the place than the food. Which is good.

There isn't really any competition for a long way around which means it's jammed at certain times of day and affects the service, which isn't great. I can recommend the hummous though.

If you are in Krakow I would suggest this place for Moa Burger Mikołajska 3, Kraków, I am not a big burger fan although the MB's are very good. It's plain jane interior, the food is honest.

Darren M/ The meat is reformed and heavily spiced making it impossible to determine what part(s) of the animal it came from

thats right, it should be from the softer areas in the lamp body either from the groin or armpit

Darren M/ Kebab meat high levels of trans fat

meat is meat, about the fats try to take a shisha after it, it can burn the extra fat :)

adammm
the question is ,, why workers only turkish or arabs or indian and asian

kebab is origionally arabic grilled dish and the right name is "KABAB" and it must be grilled on coal-fired, why asians because they are a cheap labor.

sobieski / where to find a good kebab in Warsaw?

If Polish interesting about Kabab then find for me an investor and I'll prepare the greatest Kabab ever there.

My recent discovery was Kebab King - a network of kebab restaurants

More of those opening, including on the site of the lovely Sense Bar :-(

The kebab fumes are noticeable from across the road sometimes - imagine how foul it must be living upstairs...

For good Turkish food (no greasy doners) try Lokanta on ul Nowogrodzka (the part of Nowogrodzka nearest the Palace of Culture).

EFES is known to have the best Kebab, freshest meat and best quality, I like King Kebab too. I can't believe that someone mentioned the Vietnamese place near Polonia Palace...It's big but not much meat and the vegetables are crap.
