Yesterday because of faults detected in dreamlinerach LOT of Chopin Airport flew two airplanes to Toronto and Chicago.
Cruise to Toronto was to begin on Wednesday at . 12.50 . Passengers were invited on board , took their seats and waited for the flight . Unfortunately , the waiting time was prolonged up to six hours , after which the Polish carrier announced that the voyage will not take place . - We had a fault in the system to identify the aircraft in the air - says Barbara Pijanowska - Kuras , a spokeswoman for the Polish Airlines LOT . He added that passengers were given additional drinks , sweet snacks, and meals. Why passengers had to wait so long on a plane ? - We were hoping that the fault will be removed and the plane , even though delayed , but start. Since it is crucial to safety , it was decided to postpone the flight for today at noon. 9 - adds Pijanowska - Kuras .

Two LOT Dreamliners headed for Chicago and Toronto were grounded due to glitches. Do you think passengers wills tart avoiding Boeing's newest product in light of all the defects and problems?

I used to respect Boeing. However, this new Dreamliner is something I will never fly on. They have done an awful job of trying to fix this new product. What an embarrassing time in the world of engineering.

Yep, the Poles do anything to please the US, and it comes back in their face as a boomerang. And still no visa-waiver program.
They should have bought Airbus.

One transatlantic flight was cancelled and one flight was delayed. I would hardly say this is what you are referring to as "grounded" which implies they can't fly for an extended period.

All new planes have issues and this is no different. If you take a look at the following site, it tracks all the 787s in the air right now and you can see that there are many of them flying without problems.

As they should...

Yeah, but they never fixed the battery problem, did they? They only made a metal box and pipe that exhausts any flames should there be a problem.

Agreed 100%. We should be supporting our own European manufacturers - and the Boeing scandal shows that their product is not fit for purpose.

What's happened with the Dreamliner is embarrassing but Boeing in general has made incredible planes with less design flaws than Airbus has.

I actually agree with you as I also believe that we shouldn't support you guys, whatsoever.

You don't support 'us guys'. As I understand, over in your part of the world, there's quite a movement to support domestic manufacturers. we need to do that too.

We need to stop supporting Chinese products. Everything we have in stores is made in ******* China.

But you won't because you guys will do anything to please us. We are the kings of the world, get over it.

Actually I thought these days Johnny Chinaman is becoming that, fast-track.
At least we are capable of building airliners who actually do fly.

Think again.

We are the kings of the world, get over it.

For part of the 20th Century.

At least we are capable of building airliners who actually do fly.

Spot on.

You have no clue what you're talking about. Airbus has a longer history of design flaws in their aircraft. The problem with the new Boeing is its lithium-ion battery, a byproduct of trying to rush green technology into something that wasn't quite ready for that.

Think again.

Our government is gaining more access into the surveillance of Europeans. You mad? Our drones will probably soon fly your skies on a daily basis monitoring all of your activities LOL!

The military doesn't care about stupid green technology. :-)

And then people are surprised I would never travel to the US, even if they offered me a trip for free. And no I never needed a visa in my life, in case you were wondering.

That photo can't be right. That looks like something from the 20th century. Poland is still using cavalry.

If you see how they are spying on their allies, you might think not really.

not big enough

we need to do that too.

you guys don't buy much from us but anyway, yes you need to support yourself before anyone else (same here)

We need to stop supporting Chinese products. Everything we have in stores is made in ******* China.

Don`t you know a Polish proverb: God, we are able to protect ourselves from our enemies, so protect us from our friends.

not big enough

Which is why the EU needs protectionism. The US isn't much of a thread, despite the allegations of economic espionage. China is the danger, with India and Russia waiting in the wings.

you mean - who needs enemies with friends like U.S.

Indeed.

"Boeing 787 in trouble again after emergency Polish Airlines diversion"
Looks like they ought to rename it the Nightmareliner. At least the new Airbus is still working.
