Jerzy Kukuczka world's best mountaineer? he wasn't even the best Polish climber, there were better and more famous ones like Krzysztof Wielicki or Wanda Rutkiewicz.
You don't know mountaineering then... ever heard of Alpine style climbing? Sure. It's the " norm" now of course..... For routes and for feats of endurance nobody but nobody beat Kukucka. Stick to something you know about before you comment is my advice.

Negative sir, Krzysztof Wielicki was the best Polish mountaineer ever and Kukuczka (not "Kukucka" learn how to spell you hero's name) was very good, maybe even number 2.

Im reading Anatoli Boukreev's The Climb at the moment. The Khumbu Ice fall seems a like a nasty place.
