Letter-mail international Forwarding and redirection with Poczta Polska in Poland?

Hello to all,

I have a question:

Is there any service in Poland through Poszta Polska ,UPS or Fedex ,DHL etc for letter-mail international redirection when someone moves permanently or temporarily out of Poland and wants the mail to follow?

Given the number of Poles who work elsewhere and the number of expats in Poland i would have thought it was a popular service.(especially to forward the bills!).

I have looked but could not find anything on the Poszta Polska website or over the internet.

Also no idea how long can the Poszta keep one's mail . Is 1 year possible?

Thank you for any info.

Such faith is heart-warming.

Sure any Pole knows that employees are really helpful and service -oriented in Poczta Polska.

Highly trained in customer care. Not.

One fat b1tch from Poczta Polska told me I spell my name wrongly.

Another one didn't know where Scotland was, until her colleague told her it was in England.

-1. I've come to expect a bit more from your posts, Jonny. Please don't let it be for naught.

What was wrong with it? If an unpleasant and unhelpful man was rude to me in the post office and I referred to him as a fat bastard, would that be unacceptable?

I'm not familiar enough with you to be disappointed by you.

So how should I describe her? Plenty of adjectives and nouns come to mind, none of them complimentary - however the two I used were the two I remember. And if she'd said to a Pole in the UK what she said to me, she'd no longer be working at the Post Office.

I might also mention another woman at Poczta Polska (I'll call her a cantankerous old bag, why not) who wouldn't hand over my tax rebate because she claimed she couldn't read the way my name was written on the chit the tax office had sent her.

So how should I describe her?

A generously-proportioned postal specialist who is an excellent candidate for advanced customer service training.

who is an excellent candidate for advanced customer service training.

Not technically true. However "A uniquely charming lady who shows a potential for growth in the knowledge and application of customer service techniques which is of highly similar size to her own generous proportions." works.
