Set-up a company in Poland - Krakow : administration + tax system

Hello all,

I have been reading some posts about PESEL number, company setting-up, accountability without getting right informations I would need. Then I have read this nice website : foreigners in poland.

To clarify that I want: I am about setting-up a company in Krakow. I am from EU (France).
I will likely be a self-employment business.

Thus here are my remaining questions:
- Do I need to get a PESEL number?
Apparently I have to first register my stay in Poland and then register my place of residence.
After that, I will get my PESEL number.
But still the same question => Do I really need this number?
Maybe to get a bank account?
I will need the NIP Number. Here it is written the PESEL number is required to get it : foreignersinpoland/polish-law/nip-number.html Can you confirm?

- Does anyone know a French accountant speaker?

- About Tax system
How does it work? In Poland, what is the % rate between gross and net => I pay myself X, how much will I give to the tax system?

- Finally ZUS
I have heard about different level of ZUS depending on services behind. Where could I find these different levels of services?
What is really useful?

If you have any tips or useful information, please go ahead :)
Thanks in advance.

It's good to have one, is useful in several offices and other places in Poland. Besides why to ask, you should get it anyway. But I think without it is still possible to have a bank account though.. And yes, you need pesel first to obtain your NIP number.

Try accounting office "Rachel" in Krakow, they inform on their website:

We provide a contact in the following languages: English, French, Russian, Italian.

rachel.krakow.pl/index.html

In Poland, what is the % rate between gross and net => I pay myself X, how much will I give to the tax system?

I'm not an expert, but I saw web calculations which estimated earnings on the level 75-80% after taxes and ZUS.
Corporate income tax is 19% in Poland - flat-rate.

Ok thanks a lot!
I have tried to contact "Rachel" without any success yet... It doesn't start so well. But I will keep on.

Any more answers on others questions?
