You are kidding yourself, discussion on the Internet forum in no way indicates what percent of population support certain views.

Ironside I find it interesting you chose to simply pick what I repeated from a previous post rather than actually replying to my argument.

You are truly a troll I came to this conclusion after reading some of your other comments notably "Polish Lithuanian Diplomatic War? At last." I advise people who want to try to share some reason with him to just give up and let the troll do his "Trololololololol"

actually replying to my argument.

the fact that you are stupid enough not to understand my reply is no way indication that I haven't answered your attempt at spreading bias you call history.

Indeed I have addressed all your points however you lie knowingly by posting that I didn't !\No surprise there, so far all Lithuanian posters here resorted to lies !

Trololololololol"

Listen son, if you don't know what debate is and you cannot stand the heat get out of the kitchen! Spear me your pathetic whining, just admit the you lost debate, trying to make me look bad is just so ***** like behavior.phew!

Sigismund II Augustus, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania, seeing the threat to Lithuania and eventually to Poland made the union possible so please don't you dare declare that Lithuania is to blame for the destruction of our nations

Quite reasonable thinking.

Russianised? That is just laughable you do realise that unlike Poland or Ruthenians Lithuanians are not slavic people and do not share the same language. That being said the Russians tried to russify us for as long as they have tried to russify you a nation much closer to Russia in terms of language which would be the bridge into inflicting a different culture. The fact is that Russians sent many colonists to Lithuania but they all failed and their failure is seen even today as Russian minorities are spread out all over Lithuania but are even smaller than the amount of Poles shocking isnt it considering that we have only been independent for roughly 20 years. So tell me if they could not silence our nationalism over the course of over a century and the effects of it were this small after additional half a century occupation then what would another century or even 2 centuries do?

Quite an interesting opinion.

Thank you. I will have to think about it.

Merged: Why Lithuanians hate Poles?

spending the last few weeks in Lithuania I noticed a lot of resentment for Poles here. this mystifies me for several reasons, for one Poland is probably the most similar country to Lithuania (culturally at least) and the Polish people I know tend to like lithuania. i realise that there are Historical conflicts between the two but why is this still relevant to this day?

any thoughts to why this is happening?

Because Poles are still a huge miniority there.

Because they are twats.
I mean that hold the grudge over what is their own bloody fault.
Also deep down they know that there were in the wrong so they hate those who are right - Poles.
Simple!
Cheers!

Lithuanian revival has been built upon denying any Polish influence on the country (and the influence was once immense) - that's why they even accepted Czech ortography and not Polish one to write their language (that's why they don't have a 'w' letter but 'v' instead and some other Czech features) - simply speakings Lithuanian intelectual elites since the time of their revival were anti Polish - they feared Polish culture would completely assimilate Lithuanians (political Lithuanian elites had been voluntarily polonised before in a long process)

6.6% of lithuanians are of the ethnic Polish background. that's hardly huge.

more precisely 6,66 per cent ;) - you now know why the Poles are so hated - they are the embodiment of the beast among God-fearing Lithuanians ;)

That's huge for the standards of this part of Europe.

However numbers of Poles recently decreased, just in 1931, 65,9% of population was Polish:

Seems like Soviet rule changed a lot of things there...

Teutonic Knights were awesome, Poles can't help that they were deceived. A crusade would have arrived eventually anyway.

I hate Polish people, because they say, that lithuanians stole Wilno from them. Are you insane? This is Lithuanian city!!

How old are you... 12? Nobody in Poland gives a fook about Wilno... as for stealing it, it was Soviet Union. Yawn, go on spending your days stoking your hatred to Poles, bananas or traffic lights... or whatever it is you feel like hating on. Just please be nice and limit your toxic presence in other people's lives... by going back to the 19th century, where your world view and mentality clearly belong.

Lithuanians hate Poles?

sure. Lithuanians are now disoriented, subjugated to interests of EU and NATO leading powers. If Poland re-create Commonwealth things would change. But, is it Poland capable for that, its questionable. Still, i believe in Poland.

Are you ever going to get it into your head that nobody in Poland is interested in your Sarmatian commonwealth bollocks? Both Poland and Lithuania are happy members of the new European commonwealth: the European Union.

I am both polish and Lithuanian and proud of both
But I notice Lithuanians waste alit of time being special and offended as a New century zooms by.For example.Lot now even flies to LA and purchased Estonian Nordicair with goodwill.Air Baltic of Latvia is a big success.And. Where is LAL today?Typical.Lithuanians wake up and join reality.

That is BS info. That dude know only to speak Polish until he was seven years old. The only reason that can be connected to so called Lithuania is a fact that in wiki some morons claim he is of Lithuanian decent or origin.
