Insoluble Judaeo-Polish imbroglio?

I am not proposing either Jewish rule or Arab rule but democracy where everyone has equal rights regardless of ethnicity.

Great! Who wouldn't agree with that!
The Jews for sure prefer living in such countries too...

Problem is you propose arab rule without any possibility of such a free and democratic country.
Show me the arab ruled country which is free, democratic and let's it's Jews live!

The problem is that such a country doesn't exist and "free Palestine" will very probably neither become free and democratic but you still demand from the Jews that they give up their safe haven for your unrealistic ideal only to suffer the inevitable brutal consequences of opression again.

you need to examine your racist assumptions about Arabs.

I do it everyday, trust me!
Once the Arabs have proven that they are willing and able to build and live in a democratic society and guarantee all rights to their religious minorities I will change my opinion, promised!

But as long as they put their holy book above everything there is no chance for Jews or anybody else non-muslim to have a chance of a life.

Till then I have only the reality to go by, don't blame ME for my low opinion of Arabs!

I believe all humans regardless of ethnicity or religion are capable of tolerance and democracy.

Fantastic! I agree..now go and tell that Hamas...

No country in that region, including Israel, is free and democratic. Plenty of countries lets Jews live without any restrictions. Jordan, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar...

See,this is why,in general the poles fcuking hate you lot, at least in my country most jews,by fact of them being here, arent stupid zionist fascists.

What the fck are you talking about?! I re-read my comment and then your insane rant and I honestly don't know what set you off. I never said anything that you accuse me of saying. I just sent you a caveat that TV shows are not necessarily accurate history, and that the summary on their website sounded more arab-oriented than Jewish oriented (not a rare thing in Europe, not even rare in Israel) and you go flying off the handle with all kinds of imagined things that I never said. I wouldn't recommend Exodus as a source of history either. But you hear what you want to hear (there are medications for that problem). Just like you fabricated statements I never made and opinions I never expressed, your lot fabricate all kinds of nonsense about Israelis and what we think and do. The picture in your mind about who we are is a figment of your imagination fed by crap that you read on the internet. It has nothing at all to do with what we are, or what Israel is all about. You are ignorant and, apparently, deranged.

Can we not just say that all this happened in another time and place(even if geographically thats not literal), thats not to say forget but the place for forgivness and accusations is not our generations to take a hold of.

Exactly, it's history. It was experienced by others, nothing more than second hand for us.

Please say you're joking. There is not one Jew living in Jordan except the Israeli ambassador. There is not one functioning Jewish community left in any Arab country except Morocco.

Nearly the entire security team at Jordan Telecom (and living in Amman...) are Jews. Must have just been a mirage. No Jews in UAE either, nope...other than about half of the financial industry. None at all. Give me a break. Jews live and work all over the peninsula.

Secular society in the arab world was destroyed by western states remember that little word Realpolitik you are fond of using.

don't blame ME for my low opinion of Arabs!

Is there anything you will not wash your hands of?

Then again its all realpolitik

, I was trying to put a positive light on Jewish-Polish relations, since as you probably know, they haven't exactly been perfect over the years LOL I was trying to be constructive and positive.

I was thinking about that. It seems that despite some of the most extreme situations that history can throw at two peoples occupying the same space, Jewish/Polish relations tick along just fine, until some extremist like Giertych (all three of them) comes along with a great deal of malice and attention-seeking behaviour and does the best they can to throw a spanner into the works.

He is a jester!

Putting Israel and the arab countries on the same level democratical wise can only be meant in joking! :)

Yeah sure...let's blame the West again for all the Arabs malaise! Without us they would surely prosper and live free and and happily ever after...suuuure....they would NOT kill their Jews and Christians and gays and give their women equal rights, live in secular, democratic states etc, etc, etc....suuuuure

*yaaaawn*

If the West is almighty and forces the Arabs his way why are their countries in such a sad state of affairs? The West has far to less influence...

Is there anything you will not wash your hands of?

Do I have to wash my hands of?

It's just always enlightening to confront the "anti-zionist" with the reality...

We can discuss it in another thread. Lets get this one back on topic.

What do Middle Eastern affairs have to do with Judaeo-Polish relations?
Stay on topic. If your post is not related to this thread, create a new one.

Well.....lets see, Judaic Homeland is in ME?
But I see your point. The British jews (including family members )i know dont have any issues whatsoever with Poland, infact the topic never comes up on its own.

So is the big deal Polish-Jewish American/Israeli relations?
