Salary for Test Engineer in Krakow. 5500 gross - is this a normal salary for testers in Poland?

Hi all, I am planning to move to Poland from Ukraine.
I have 2 years of experience in testing and Polish bodyshop proposed me 5500 gross. Here in Ukraine I get more, so I am thinking hard about it.

Is this a normal salary for testers or should I just refuse and keep looking for better salary?

I would say it's about fine for this kind of qualification for Krakow. Especially without speaking Polish

I agree it's about average. If you're very skilled you may be able to negotiate to 6500 maybe. I'm surprised salaries are higher in the Ukraine. They seem around 20% lower according to this site even considering it's 2014 - intersog.com/blog/it-salaries-in-ukraine-as-of-february-2014/

It is 3898 netto if legal. Only 900zl more than welder in my environment.

I'm surprised salaries are higher in the Ukraine.

It is higher mostly because of 4% taxes for it specialists.
But anyway, here I get 1800 USD gross and 5500 pln is less than 1500 USD.

If the salary is less than you earn, why are you thinking of coming?

War in the east and unstable economic situation make me think about leaving.
