Currently I make less than 85.528 a year, but still im paying like 30% in taxes.
18%/32% is only the income tax. There's also ZUS (social insurence) and NFZ (health insurence). Both are obligatory, you can get them lower If you run 1 person company but not all employers are willing to go for such solution, also you're not an employee then, so If they want to end cooperation with you, they can do that easily without bothering with any employment regulations.
With my raise ill be making more, so my question is do you think ill just stay on my current tax level then?
Income tax works the way that you pay 18% till your income is no more than 85.528 PLN gross this year and 32% only for the amount over 85.528 PLN. So for a 100.000 a year it is 85.528 * 0.18 + 14.472 * 0.32.
If you want to see exact figures, at best use some on-line converters.
For example: infor.pl/kalkulatory/brutto_netto.html
in Krok 1 put there your gross salary, skip Krok 2, leave 2012 in Krok 3 and press Oblicz.
You will get the results then:
Brutto = gross
ZUS = social insurence
Składka na ub. zdrow. = NFZ
Zaliczka na podatek = income tax
Netto = net, cash you will actually receive
