The Big Move is Finally Here,

I have a couple of desicions I need help on before I go.

I have a really good car that i have invested alot of money in. I have decided to drive it to poland. What is the procedure for taking a uk car to poland?

I have a teaching job setup to start in September, but I would like to move sooner. Are there any english only speaking jobs that might arise in the Summer?

Is there anyone currently living in Gydnia that would be interested in swapping english lessons for polish lessons?

Any help would be great

There isn't any I think. After some time (3 months?) you have to change the plates and buy Polish insurance.

Merged: English, Polish, French speaker - work in Gdynia/Sopot/Gdansk (TrojMiasto)?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently living in Canada and am looking to move to Poland for a few years to stay with family. I'm a native English speaker, but I also speak Polish and French. I have no idea how to go about looking for a job in Poland. I speak, read, and write in Polish, but in a conversational way - I understand everything, but sometimes get lost for words when having a more "complicated" conversation (like when talking about something like politics or business). I'm a University graduate (degree in Psychology), so I do have some schooling. I'll be staying with my grandparents in Gdynia, so I would prefer to work somewhere in that general area.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what steps I can take before actually getting on a plane and blindly flying overseas? hahaha

Thanks :)

First things first - are you sure that this is a good idea? Do they have adequate living conditions for you to have your own life?

Yup, there's plenty of space and I have a good relationship with them.
