So I used to live in Poland and i speak the language but I've been living in the US for 6 years now and Im going to finish high school in a couple years and are interested in going to collage to Poland to become a teacher either a normal teacher or just a English teacher. I would like to go to the university in Krakow so I can be close to my family which is the main reason I want to move back there. What would I have to do to be eligible to be a teacher in Poland? What classes would I have to take? Could I be a full time teacher or should I only teach English? I would want to take the classes in English if that's possible.

You have to do a course which includes teacher training. Every subject studied in schools has such a course. Depending on the course, you either do the teacher training as additional classes, or it's integrated into the course programme - it depends.

Could I be a full time teacher or should I only teach English?

Sure, you can be a full time teacher - all you need to do is complete the programme.

I would want to take the classes in English if that's possible.

Could be more difficult - as far as I'm aware, the only thing which offers teacher training in English will be an English degree.

Why? The quality of instruction will almost certainly be much better in Polish. If you're more comfortable writing in English then you can probably convince most of your teachers to let you do written work in English (since they can probably read better than they can lecture in English).

I can only answer your "Can I go to college there?" question. YES! That's what I'm doing now. I'm going to a university in Krakow and I'm not even of Polish descent. So it's very possible. I'm doing a Masters program taught entirely in English. The US Dept of Education certifies grants and loans to go to 400-500 universities outside of the US. In the tab where you choose the state you want to go to school in, choose 'Foreign Country'. It's a long list. I only remember my university, Jagiellonian, coming up; as far as universities in Poland. I suppose you can get financial aid if you're at least a resident of the US...? I'm not sure.

Has anybody seen this list, or anything similar? I'm interested to see what universities are on it/not on it.
