Do not work for this company unless you want to gain unpaid experience. Most teachers have not been paid for a few months and there is little chance of being paid in the near future.

This school also goes by the names:

Why aren't the teachers being paid?

this is my thought too. My daughter's preschool had this type of thing happen to them- a neighbouring preschool hit the forums and slammed the preschool- it is quite silly and pathetic this technique.

It is probably wrong. Other local Krakow forums are full of complaints, too.

Provide evidence? So, you want me to provide bank statements of the teachers who haven't received income for the last three months?

This is not a smear campaign. This was intended to be a warning for native speakers and Polish teachers who are considering working there. This was not intended for some mother of a preschool child who has limited knowledge of the language school industry.

By all means work there, but please consider not only this post, but other posts on other websites in Polish.

It is illegal not to pay employees ( does not apply to self employed) sharp every month in Poland and you should go to a Work inspector to file a complaint or get a lawyer.

I believe that this is what the teachers are in the process of doing.

Please, think twice before working there.

Then tell some of the unpaid teachers to post here, until then, all you are doing is making statement and although this may be true, you may still be lying. Not everything on TripAdvisor is true, so why should we believe one random on internet forum?

No shite, i know of somewbody working for a large reputable Cement production related company in Warsaw who has not been paid since November, they promised wages just before christmas which never came and kept on saying next week, next week till the union moved in a few weeks ago and closed them down.

Happens all the time.

The nurses in Lodz who weren't paid for months are a good an example as any. However they were in a very different situation to EFL teachers.

What puzzles me about this thread is that if it's true, why is anyone still working there?

The Poles are far too accepting. I would have turned down the place to get my salary. If they closed down it means they went bust?

in anycase, no one should wait more than 15 days of delay in payment of one 's salary and should not show up at work and look for another job right away.

How can people pay their mortgages and all their personal bills if they are not paid on the spot. Crazy.

I worked in Wroclaw, I wrote millions of mails, was promissed money millions of times and still nothing. All bad things you'll find on the net about this school are true, unfortunatelly. The worst thing is that me and my collegues were trying really hard and were working our heads off and all to be treated like this. I've worked in many language schools in Wroclaw, but this one is by far THE WORST.

I worked for the same school in Gdansk.

The guy running this school is a FRAUD. He cheated over 20 teachers here - never paid our wages.

If you don't want to believe it, then don't. We're just trying to warn people.

Everything about this thread, from the proliferation of guest posters through the semi-literate post from and alleged English Teacher and right through to the sheer implausibility of people claiming staff at a language school weren't paid for months (but stayed there) suggest all is not as it seems.

How about doing a google search of "K&S Krakowska Szkoła Języków Obcych opinie"? Then you might find other forums with comments from Polish teachers also.

This school is currently on Groupon offering courses for 200zl a semester. No wonder they cant afford to pay their teachers

Little Jonny detective. Something tells me you have too much time on your hands considering the number of posts you have written in the last year. Maybe you should do some volunteer work at that school?

Or plenty of time sitting by a computer watching people work, waiting in airport lounges, overcoming writer's block etc ;-)

And a few enquiries have shown that there's similar stuff about this in various places on the internet, but none of them where one would normally post about a rogue school, and none of them written by a native speaker of English.

Have worked for this school, and after a long fight I got paid. However, I would not recommend anyone
to work here. The school has not lived up to its promises and even if I got my money then I am one of the lucky

For those who can read Polish, please read the above article. For others: K & S is no longer a viable business. The owner cannot be contacted. The premises are empty and people are going to the police to bring a joint action against the school.
