The US delighted audio manufacturers around the world with their very extensive range of movies.

Some of the best musicians ever come from the US. I'm listening to Hendrix now, he is but one example.

Obama, for all his shortcomings, is a charismatic figure who has brought in positive changes.

The American belief concept is impressive too. They have self confidence which works well at one level.

These are some positives :)

TheOther,
Not all places were hit equally by the recession. My area has a lot of natural energy sources that have been in high demand for several years now. We have been in a boom for a while now, so the recession didn't hit hard here. I suggest you do some reading up on the recession and the differences in locations, how hard different ones were hit and which ones weren't hit as hard as others. That way you will get a better idea of what the recession really is :)

Hate:
All the baloney in the name of security (thank you - The patriot Act)
some of the stupid TV shows which appeal to a limited public audience, yet - the rest of the world thinks it is true!

liberals embracing and encouraging all of the above

Love:
the wide open roads, the variety of scenery
the convenience of shopping day and night (or late into the night)
that the life is still fairly inexpensive (utilities, gas, food etc)
friendly and smiling people
endless optimism bordering with naivety
the honesty of the average person you meet and talk to
the opportunities awaiting with the right skills and attitude

You and your buddies all look like cholo homies in your pic, lol.

Don't they though?
They walk around with their oversize pants (better for shoplifting) hanging halfway down their @zz, showing us their hairy butt cracks and their dirty underwear, then they put a bandana on their heads and bring it so far down over their eyes, they have to tilt their heads back so they can see where they're going!

I always get a good laugh when I see any of them.
One got caught by the police because his pants fell down and he tripped over them while he was running away! LOL
Pull your pants up, you look stupid!

Love: friendly, helpful, optimistic can-do kind of people
TJ Maxx and Marshalls shops
The relatively relaxed atmosphere
New York City (wouldnt want to live there tho)
The career development opportunities that generally exist if you want them.

Hate: The blackish brownish sludge that Americans refer to as coffee
The greasy food

I am also disturbed by the obesity one sees almost everywhere, but one feels sorry for the people in that regard, not something one "hates" as thats a strong word.

just what you want to bring home to meet your folks

She might not have much of a choice living in L.A.

If Blobama gets his way you might as well start learning to speak ghetto Mexican.

I like how Blobama states "no health care for Illegals" but hes going to give them all amnesty as soon as he gets his reform bill passed.

Now add 14 million more people to the equation and figure out whos going to pay for it?

Some of the nicest people in the world come from the States. Clint Eastwood, for example. Give me a Pole as successful and as likeable as him. I could quote many more Americans with bags of personality and evident success.

OK, America is diminishing a little but, should it win the fight against fascistic elements, I will rejoice! I love the openness and full-bodied charisma of many Americans. They know they are alive and I tip my hat to that.

I hate: the Jesus Freaks, a.k.a. Born Again Christians, a.k.a. Evangelists, a.k.a. the Christian Taliban. They are backwards, close minded, hatefull people, fearfull little cowards clinging to God and guns. They demand the right to shove their "Jesus" into your face, regardless if you are religious or not, but at the same time they hate all the other religions including Catholics (in their mind the Pope is "The Son Of Satan"). They actually believe the Earth is 6 thousand years old, they believe people waked the Earth together with dinosaurs. They actually WANT and pray for the final war between East and West so their "Jesus" can take over the World again. And the worst part is: they are taking over the US Government.

I love: everything else about this Beautiful Country. Everything else other then Jesus Freaks, that is. I love the honest, good, fun-loving, open-minded and helpful people. The weather - your choice of Arizona Desert, Alaskan Arctic or everything in between. I love the vast, huge, unimaginably big open spaces. I love the melting pot of cultures. I love the great food, wine, beer, art, cars, planes, highways, beaches, mountains, desserts, forests, oceans and lakes.

Oh yeah, and I love my truck too :)

I only know of one Jesus freak: me

They are backwards, close minded, hatefull people, fearfull little cowards clinging to God and guns.

no I'm not

They demand the right to shove their "Jesus" into your face, regardless if you are religious or not,

maybe, but I consider it as my freedom of speech.

they hate all the other religions including Catholics (in their mind the Pope is "The Son Of Satan")

where do you get this stuff?

They actually believe the Earth is 6 thousand years old, they believe people waked the Earth together with dinosaurs. They actually WANT and pray for the final war between East and West so their "Jesus" can take over the World again. And the worst part is: they are taking over the US Government.

no I don't
