Sad life of a Polish migrant in the UK. Ch. 5 - Racism

Or perhaps you're just doing a very well-educated thesis on some of these issues, and this is your research?

- I think, you work for the EU campaign "For Diversity. Against Discrimination." and due to the recession there is not enough money to employ so many people to go around the different countries to find out what is going on, so you come on here to stir it up and find out what issues need to be addressed.

- You are writing a book.

- You are a physiologist and you're doing your master thesis on "internet forum reactions".

- You are an alien communicating from a million light years away and by some strange coincidence (cosmic joke), "Poland" and the "UK" are names of countries on your planet too.

Well, that explains it. And a lot more,

What does it explain?
Generally western protestant culture is a bit incompatible to slavic catholic and more to slavic orthodox culture(this makes the West lose its hair) and what Ksysia expresses is the slavic point of view about english mentality.

Like ''you,hypocrites'' etc.

What does it explain?

why you are always talking about sex ; )

As for our Polish lady,

- she might be just a mad psycho-Polka with a giant chip on her shoulder, mightn't she?

Yes,greek women made us sex maniacs in search for the holy Grail.

a mad psycho-Polka

This is an unusual phenomenon. But a non-emotional slavic girl is of no interest at all.

Diversity and tolerance are the two final suicidal steps towards the death of a culture where the diversity and tolerance occur. History shows it clearly. Heck, this has been clear in my lifetime.

Back to the original list of points:

racial issues - the three-legged race is a lesser race than the 100m hurdles
white supremacy, - this must be about putting milk in tea
corporal punishment - corporals must be punished

Few things seemed worth reading in this thread, other than SeanBM's notion that race means very little to begin with and Szkotja reminding us about Krysia's cartoons that we don't see much of anymore.

Polish people were only entitled to state schools and health service when they had their children borne in the UK who automatically became UK citizens (as far as I know) -

That is just ill informed and specious rubbish.....sorry...:) (I did personally assist illegal Poles register for health service and education so I do have some knowledge on this)

Actually rubbish on two counts...being born in UK doesn't make you British citizen.

Why would you assist illegal poles, or illegal any nationality. I would be grateful if you could explain. If someone is in a country illegally, they should not be there.

Could you help me claim jobseekers allowance, even though I dont have the contributions?

BS!, Race means alot its just that most people struggle to understand why.
Its amazing how humans would like to think that they are capable of overriding instinctive feeling, the fact is they happen most of the time without us noticing. Its natural for a culture to want to be around itself, thats has nothing to do with race.

For instance i don't like black people, you will ask yourself why or cry "racist" but i can asure you i don't like them because of the differences in culture which are stark and not because of their skin colour.

If race means nothing, how come blacks excel at the 100 meter sprint? How come whites excel at swimming? You might not want to admit that there are racial differences, but that doesnt make it true.

how come blacks excel at the 100 meter sprint?

The guy who lives over the road from me dawdles to his van in the morning. I can't imagine him sprinting. A Polish friend of mine can't swim either.

My mention of the three legged race in no way means I have anything against the Isle of Man. I once knew a girl from the Isle of Man (that's not a bawdy folk song, by the way).

i know this is going off at a tangent, but what is it with that? lots of my polish friends can't swim - especially women - they express a wide-eyed kind of fear of water - which i guess one would do if one couldn't swim ... (phew, at least there is SOMETHING i can do that they can't!)

Personally I have not read enough to be certain that Kenyans have not evolved to be fast runners but I can't rule out the distinct possibility that it is physiological.

That if "my neighbour can do it, so can I" and equally if the main theory is that Kenyans run faster than a guy from Dublin, the guy from Dublin may think "I can't run as fast as a Kenyan".

I haven't seen any black bicycle road racers either. At least not in the Tour de France, the Vuelta and the Giro...But I've seen a lot of black boxers, footballplayers and baskeball players.

This is a big debate at the moment.
Wiki and not clear cut.

A wiki debate, I think I will pass.

Race obviously does exist, to say other wise is nonsense. Stereotypes do not suddenly appear "out of nothing." They are based on a persons experiences with other people of certain races, social classes, or whatever else. Our brains generalise based on the experiences and past encounters we have had with each group.

If I get burned every time I put my hand in a fire, then it does not make sense for me to continue putting my hand in fires. In the same way, if I have observed certain races acting a certain way, then it only stands to reason that other members of that race also act in the same way. Thus a stereotype of that certain race is formed.

If we ignore our stereotypes then we are ignoring our own experiences and choosing ignorance over knowledge, a recipe destined for failure. No one would expect you to put your hand back in a fire after being burned dozens of times, yet for when it comes to the politically correct, multiculti bible of race relations, we are told to throw away all our experiences, no matter what the cost. We see the result of this brainwashing every day in the crime reports when yet another European is *victimised because they have chosen to ignore their stereotypes about certain races.

*As per usual, I have links galore to back up my claims ;}

Without getting into anything else at the moment, you plagiarised most of that from Z_darius' Post #122 (with your own twist).
