Poles revealed to harbour deep hatred against Anglos when they speak in their own language

All these EU threads should be merged into one. This one started with trolling about Poles in the UK, probably from a Brexsh1teer but still not about the terms of leaving or remaining in the Union.

I missed that one, due to the new page. The answer is 'sort of'. Above all, parliament is sovereign so will need to vote on any proposed deal. There's a good chance that the current politicians are very wisely using delaying tactics while public opinion moves away from the idea of a Brexit.

Well, all I know is that Queenie can assert her Royal Bossiness (ie her Royal Prerogative) and act against the advice of her ministers ie the PM and the government but then when does she ever act?! Basically they can't tell her what to do but whether she can tell them what to do is another matter, not sure about that. Of course she does actually give her permission for things like when the PM asks if he can form a new government or whatever. In theory Queenie could say 'no, certainly not, you're a very naughty boy' or something along those lines but she generally says 'yes' if they catch her just before her favourite telly programme comes on and she wants to get away in a hurry. Actually I'm very fond of old Queenie.

She can act against the advice of Her ministers (and has apparently done so once or twice when a former PM was very ill and when the 1974 general election was inconclusive (She chose Labour) however it's something that isn't done lightly and could spark a constitutional crisis if She did so without the support of the Privy Council and parliament (which She had on both previous occasions).

Now, Prince Charles is consulted as a member of the Inner Council and neither of them are likely to go against the will of parliament.

She definitely won't put a finger in the pie this time. And of course as you rightly point out Jon, the matter is further complicated by the fact Parliament is the supreme legal authority in the land. It's all very interesting and of enormous historic significance. Whatever is decided in the High Court has huge implications not just in terms of Brexit. That's why the decision will be very carefully weighed.

What was the point of holding a referendum if in the end Parliament or the Lords decide the outcome.

The people we have mandated in a General Election to legislate. Duh.

If they vote to override the decision I forsee far worse results than just leaving.

Now that's part of the reason why they're waiting. Public opinion in favour of leaving has already fallen to below 50% and as the risks to standard of living etc become more apparent it will fall further.

Well I will tell you what. If it does go to Parliament and MP's do vote against it and my my local MP votes no he will need 24 hr Police protection !!

The thing is the only thing that can save the EU is shock therapy (like the UK actually leaving), staying in will only make its final collapse worse and messier (and possibly more violent).

The EU in its current form is completely not viable and the isolated elite don't realize that yet (or do and just want to milk the cow till it collapses).

The Italian referendum in December may make it all moot...

If Brexit does not happen due to underhanded politics they will create a UK - EU freedom terrorist group.

Leave was the outcome of the so called referendum and a so called hard Brexit is the only way forward.
