He stood up for his principles and didn't back down. That used to be worth something, but these days it's all "Oh ok boss, gee wiz I'm real sorry"

'Passengers in Rotherham can rightly expect bus drivers to do the job they pay them to do — drive buses.
'If they are unwilling to, perhaps they should look for another job.'

This is the key. It isn't a matter for the driver to approve of or disapprove of whatever advert is on the side of the bus. As I said, the guy sounds a jerk, and almost certainly has his own unresolved issues about sexuality.

He stood up for his principles and didn't back down.

I'm sure those principles will come in useful when applying for new jobs after being fired. I'm sure his family will enjoy going without because his principles were more important than them.

Any real Christian would drive the bus.

If bus drivers didn't drive buses every time they disapprove of the ads on the side, nobody would ever get to work.

See, you missed the point. It isn't about people applauding you, it's about sticking to your principles when people are deploring you.

Oh well, Brittish patriot resists decline, have they imprisoned him for a hate crime yet?

Very laudable of you.
Principles don't keep a roof over your head and put food on the table if you get fired.

As Pam says, it doesn't put food on the table. He also comes across as a bit of an idiot - it's probably one of the few cases where they're actually telling the truth on advertisements.

And making people late because of your principles is hardly Christian behaviour, is it?

As I have said, it used to mean something. Let's put is that way, in order to survive UK needs more patriots like him.

...and what on earth has patriotism got to do with gay rights?! Do you seriously think a gay person can't be patriotic or what?

kondzior is so bigoted he thinks that homosexuals aren't even human.

...and what on earth has patriotism got to do with gay rights?!

1)Less gays -> more normal couples -> more children -> more Brits -> bigger and healthier Nation
2)More gays -> less normal couples -> less children -> more muslims and blacks to fill the population gap -> more savage children -> less Brits -> no Brits at all at some point

Oh I see... The gays are unpatriotic because they do not multiply and thus the weaken the nation by their criminal inaction.
Right. So - maybe they shall have right to adopt children? Not even a right. A patriotic duty!
I think they shall be forced to adopt orphans and contribute the Nation this way.

It would not produce any more children. In fact, same sex marriage is linked with higher illegitimacy rates, meaning everyone suffers.

with higher illegitimacy rates,

do you mean gay couples have more children out of wedlock? the things I didn't know!

The law is a great teacher, and same sex marriage will teach future generations that marriage is not about children but about coupling. When marriage becomes nothing more than coupling, fewer people will get married to have children.

Surprise, surprise, homosexual marriage compounds the illegitimacy problem and hurts children and families.

I really have to get his How same-sex marriage hurts everyone book, shame it seems a bit hard to get in Poland.

What's outrageous is that he was fired from contracting gigs at Cisco just for writing a book saying that same-sex marriage harmed all of society, in spite of everyone liking him, and from a college teaching job as well, in spite of everyone loving him as a teacher too. This is really disgusting, firing a man for his opinion.

He suffers because he CARE about children and their clean, straight and Christian upbringing.
One may say, that he is real child-lover. :-D

Just because one person said so?

Personally I think there is no correlation whatsoever.

The law is a great teacher, and same sex marriage will teach future generations that marriage is not about children but about coupling. When marriage becomes nothing more than coupling, fewer people will get married to have children.

I don't follow the "logic" of this statement. I would say fewer people nowadays get married to "couple" because they can do that anyway, if people do get married it's because they are thinking of having children - as well as for the financial and emotional security marriage brings.

Can you back up your opinion with any facts?
townhall.com/columnists/frankturek/2008/05/26/gay_marriage_even_liberals_know_its_bad

"When we look at Nordland and Nord-Troendelag- the Vermont and Massachusetts of Norway - we are peering as far as we can into the future of marriage in a world where gay marriage is almost totally accepted. What we see is a place where marriage itself has almost totally disappeared.- He asserts that -Scandinavian gay marriage has driven home the message that marriage itself is outdated, and that virtually any family form, including out-of-wedlock parenthood, is acceptable."

But it's not just Norway. Blankenhorn reports this same trend in other countries. International surveys show that same-sex marriage and the erosion of traditional marriage tend to go together. Traditional marriage is weakest and illegitimacy strongest wherever same-sex marriage is legal.

This is an article written in little known townwall.com website by the virtually unknown man named Frank Turek.
Hardly a "FACT".

I meant research he is quoting. See if children are not given proper boundaries and nurture, they're going to turn into nihilists like you.

How do you know that I am an "nihilist"? Are you sure that you fully understand the meaning of this word?

From your postings?
Anyway, are you able to see past your political agenda? Would you let these kind of people to adopt children?

gay

gays

vs

stright

strigh2

You can basically see the difference between the two sides just by looking at them.

Thank you for the set of pictures that explain nothing. "One picture is worth of thousand words", heh? ;-)
Since you asked me to explain my "political agenda" - there is no agenda at all.
I believe that the various things that adult people do in the intimacy of their own bedrooms is not a matter of politics at all.

I oppose the same-sex marriage strongly, but I think that my reasons are too complicated for your simple-world and simple-answers world.

BTW - I strongly believe that anyone who think so hard and who spend so much effort on gays is a crypto-gay itself? are you?

See, you missed the point. It isn't about people applauding you, it's about sticking to your principles when people are deploring you.

Spoken like someone who has never worked a day in his life. Otherwise, you would understand what the phrase "in the course of one's employment" means, and why you sometimes have to keep it shut if you want to keep your job.

kondzior is so bigoted he thinks that homosexuals aren't even human.

It's also clear that the number of bigoted rants posted on an internet forum are inversely proportional to the amount of sexual intercourse experienced by the offending poster. I should post a formula to demonstrate how this may be proven :D

I think so too. It's not normal to spend so much time obsessing about the subject.

I strongly believe that anyone who thinks so hard and who spends so much effort on gays is a crypto-gay himself. Are you (Kondzior)?
Even HH admits (in his own words):
I don't mind gay people. My friend is gay..

Kondzior, I'm not pro-gay but I accept that is a choice people make in life.
However, not doing your job and driving a bus (lol), because of an advert is pretty pathetic.
A Christian? Whatever happened to 'love thy neighbour'? Whatever happened to 'turn the other cheek'?
This man isn't a Christian or a patriot - he's homophobic and most probably he's a closet gay. And he'll lose his job because of it. What an idiot!
