I just hope the new London mayor will kick all Polish (and other) racists out!

What about the rest of the racists?

No, it shows that you are wrong about western Europe! I understand that it's a big slap into your face! As to your personal insults (= lack of arguments ;)), you can sh..ve them!

Well, get drunk out of despair! I need to log out and tomorrow I'll buy a botlle of good wine to celebrate a victory against fascism!

No, it shows that you are wrong about western Europe!

So what don't you move over there eh? You are all big mouth and no spunk, hypocrite.
Nah, one or two token Muslims in prominent positions tell you absolution nothing. You read into it a lot but your perception and bias doesn't alter reality. Eat that!

Well, get drunk out of despair

Do I even care?

London mayor is not a token position. You are a clown. Can you read newspapers?

Idiot.

Merged: KHAN - London mayor - PIS take note

The free world ain't gonna stand for your xenophobia anymore Warsaw - London has spoken with the election of a Muslim mayor..

Now - if you want to compete at all with London and Frankfurt and the Big Boys - it's time for Polish business to stand up - and say - Equal Opportunities for all - EU law will be followed - and racism will not be tolerated in the workplace on ANY level - and to pressurise PIS into following its obligations to take in the 7000 refugees and backtrack the Prime ministers' callous remarks on the same.

Time to act - now!

Come down Poles in the UK and in Poland. Why so much paranoia? What if a new selected mayor was a vegan - would meat eaters even bother to think about it and get worried that he will ban eating burgers? Probably not.

I thought that was well worthy of a new thread Admin.

After all - people can't see the wood for the trees:)))

Maybe you don't want a better Poland so see fit to subjectively reduce the opinion to fit the editorial of your forum.

Obama is of Muslim-culture too, but America still exists. London will be no different.

Why so much paranoia?

Because the thinking man can now deduct from the last year or so that Poles are inherently racist -sad to say. It has removed some of the gloss of living here, but we survive:)

Thanks, Doug, to remind us! ;). And yes, this also proves that W. Europe is NOT what those who of course have never lived there claim.

No, in w. Europe, we have no war and we have normal lives and the huge majority of people would not even dream about living elsewhere ;)

Well, Doug, no need to tell you how thick some are!

inherently racist

It's not that we are inherently racist it's simply that until now there was nearly zero minorities in Poland and those that existed were white(except gypsies) so it's understandable that many poles act with aggression at the prospect that it may change.

Many polish men also fear that male foreigners will steal ''our'' women and the majority of refugees are male.

Boris gave planning permission to a lot of skyscrapers, dealt with the Underground and set up a bike hire and bike lane scheme.

In reality, the mayor is a token position.

he promise 5 years of no Tube fare increases. Thats all that matters.

Game over. Let the racists go and live in Eastern Europe. Its called Russia, Hungary, and Serbia:)))

you can count Poland in - we have no need for a multi-kulti here

Sensible comment - but that comfort needs challenging. Poland is not a closed country any more and has embraced freedom. That freedom comes with responsibility and accountability as every person will well know.

It's called the normal world, and not an elitist criminal cocoon for 10 percent of the population.

PS After 27 years, people have got the knack of making money quickly, so they have absolutely no excuse when it comes to acting decently towards their fellow human being.

In my view.

@Gumi: for the millions of Poles living around the world as they don't want to live in Poland, it's fortunate for them that other countries ARE multi ;). May I remind you that even countries such as Turkey and Iran took in Polish refugees when Poles were in bad situation.

@Dougpol: it is really something to discover "fasholand" ;). Fortunately, although a tiny minority, there are Poles who are enlightened because you would imagine you are in ... Afghanistan ;). A London friend of mine (of Polish parents) told me tonight that he is ashamed of Poland....

Not true. In any shape or form

I lived in London for ten years. The then mayor, Ken livingstone, had the power to dramatically cut Tube and bus fares and remove fees for museums etc, as well as fund social care such as creches and childcare. Are you telling me that those (highly controversial) policies didn't matter?

We know that Polish politicians whimper and prevaricate. The London mayor ACTS - on policies that the population dictate. Policies that make life better for the population.

no? interesting - so you think you could maintain your living standard while living and working in the West, yes? what about your relative living standard? - and guess what I don't believe you when you say We the Westerners

@Gumi: for your info, we foreigners in Poland are here for business and/or because of Polish spouses/partners. We don't come here for 4,000 ZL per month ;)

Shall we do a swop? Send the million Poles back? Or the Poles who the West Germans took in, in communist times?

You need to wash your mouth out and stop being so proud. Nobody else is being so nationalistic but you Poles. You are making prize fecks of yourselves and you ain't big enough in a real fight.

Go back to your Command and Conquer Playstation game and stop being a twat.
