A new mayor in London: opinion of Polish people in the UK?

Yes, those communities in the US

And they're not part of public life. The Amish traditionally don't even accept things like welfare or social security. Their situation is simply not comparable to benefit sponges in western Europe.

How do you know whether the people who went along to the meeting are "part of public life" or not, or whether they are "benefit sponges" whatever that is?

For someone who presumes to tell everybody else how they should approach certain issues, you don't know very much, do you?

The statistic I could find was that 75% of muslim women in the UK are unemployed (presumably just counting those of working age).

Please post more favorable statistics.... if you can find them.

I certainly know quite a bit more than you, who evidently assumes the people who attended the meeting in question were 'benefit sponges'. Have you met any of those present?

Have you? The odds are against the majority being net contributors to public finances.... Numbers are what they are.

I'm not the one claiming that people you've never met, attending a meeting you were not at, whose names you don't know, are 'benefit sponges'.

Jon doesnt do sources, he just makes it up as he goes along.

Soon all of Londostan will be Muslim majority and turn into an undesirable pit like Northern London has already.
London's first Muslim mayor has banned advertisements on the public transportation system that feature thin and attractive women.
Sadiq Khan stated Monday that any image with the ability to cause body positivity issues would be removed from areas throughout the city.
It's just the start with no doubt a crackdown on homosexuality next.
Khan, who has two daughters of his own, defended the policy by stating that he was extremely concerned by advertising that can "demean people, particularly women, and make them ashamed of their bodies."

(Could he be referring to his daughters by any chance ?)
Really or is it because of his Muslim roots which most expect.
The mayor's decision received almost entirely negative responses across social media.
Who is the mayor to say what woman should look like ?
Khan is obviously a sexist to think women are not mentally strong enough to look at a picture of an attractive model.
And as the Muslim population rapidly multiples expect even more British cultural changes.
Could mandatory in house treatment in Siberia for all publically professing homosexuals be next ?
Poland prefers to keep their culture Polish despite what some brainwashing foreigners living in Poland preach here.

Let London have what it voted for , same with Brexit, If the mayor wishes to do something like banning alcohol or posters in the city then he has a mandate from the people to do it.

What does the actions of the London mayor matter to the Polish people?, diddly squat zero.

Migrant Polish workers might struggle to get some vodka , but they still will be able to earn a good crust.

Poland has voted in its politicians in on a majority vote this should also be respected.

In a democracy you get what you ask for and London got Sadiq Khan

The new mayor of London is pro-Islam and of course, his first move was : a beginning of Sharia Law: women have to be much more covered in public spaces,

and swimsuits models cannot appear in public anymore,...

oh dont be sillier than you have to be Jaciek.
Those people at the rally were....Muslims and were acting in a way that is normal for them.
It is totally illogical to say, therefore all women will have to start covering up.

did you read what he says about London status in reference to brexit vote? something about him wanting London to become city state.:
"He declared: "As much as I might like the idea of a London city state, I'm not seriously talking about independence today"

then there are some from his office demanding right to issue visas and passports to be given to London authorities.
isnt that worry brits?are they that blind not to see danger here or there is nothing to worry about?

lol.i ment sadiq khan..forgot to mention

Cobblers. Perhaps 'Jaciek' would like to pop into Hyde Park today and see if the women sunbathing are "much more covered up".

. In Ireland, Muslims are not alienated, even if "a very small number" had become radicalised.

I thought of you when I heard about this (don't take that the wrong way....)

rte.ie/player/pl/show/prime-time-extras-30003379/10837295

No school of Islamic legal thought forbids FGM all require or at least support it as a good thing.

Another article about this quoted another muslim in Ireland saying there's no need for it and that most muslims in Ireland " follow weak narrations" which I guess means ignoring a lot of stuff in the Koran and the hadiths as well (probably an excellent idea).

Thanks for the link Maf. I think the interviewer did a reasonable job of putting the guy on the spot and not letting him away with his comments. Our Islamic scholar on the other hand came across as a shifty piece of work who clearly knew he was defending the indefensible. There's a huge outcry in the national press over it. People are disgusted. A good thing because it's brought the matter to public attention. What we need now is a few prosecutions and there will be a great national will for it I can tell you. Irish people are easy going and tolerant up to a point but they won't go along with appeasing any extremist religious groups.
