You long enough on PF to remember all that bickering not as long as me but still. Nope I'm not tired about being emotional yes little bit. Emotions like: annoyed, sad and having bit of lough. See I'm not English I'm just Polish knowing most of the English dirty tricks.
I don't remember you being in Harry's team, tomorrow I'll fix it following your posts through 7 years history. It's good to know your enemies and friends.
The leftist media would love to pin this on the so-called "white working class", but that argument is dubious - it's well-known that certain... er... now, what's that euphemism... "communities" have objected to the "re-whitening" of the UK through mass EU immigration.
Still, it looks like Brexit will be a winner for those "communities", as non-EU immigration will replace Polish immigration.
Funny how none of the traitors in the media ever seem to mention that one...
I voted leave, but nothing to do with Polish workers, who graft for their money. My daughter in law is Polish.
What I will say is if you have any anti Polish sentiment in the UK, these people are a tiny tiny minority of scum that inhabit most countries.
What I voted leave for is something Poland has asked for, more accountability in the EU, rather than anti democratic comments from Jean-Claude Juncker, who first says before a referendum 'THERE WILL BE NO REFORM' and follows that up with "Prime ministers should listen LESS TO THEIR ELECTORATE" This is why so many Brits are concerned at the EU, nothing to do with anti Polish sentiment.
Don't rise to this absolutely miniscule percentage of the UK, that is assuming its not been a set up job.
Seriously no person from Poland should fear this.
Personally, I hope that Angela Merkel will realise the vote was more about anti democratic sentiment, not helped by Jean-Claud Juncker and that is shared by Poland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
Now its not a special deal the UK wants, its the EU starting to listen to its residents and making things more accountable for ALL EU.
If not there is bound to be other countries seeking referendums, so it should not be used to punish the UK as some suggest, because that will not stop other countries seeking a vote.
If however the terms of EU membership are finally agreed to change in the EU FOR EVERYONE, then the UK ballot will not be binding, because it will have been voted on a set of rules that are no longer applicable and then there would have to be a new ballot, and people like myself would vote to remain.
I'm not xenophobic, not anti Polish, not even anti immigration, although I do recognise individual countries have to be able to have more say in the EU, rather than MEPs who can't really do anything, but with Commissioners who are unelected by you and i being able to even boast that Prime Ministers should disregard their electorate, so what message do you think that sent out to voters before the vote took place.
Along with boasting there would be NO REFORM, he did untold damage.
Again though apologies if some idiots think the Polish are the problem....stupid people live everywhere, but in my book you are welcome and always will be.
You have to bear in mind the mentality of the average british racist... they tell Asians to "F-off home cos we've left the EU"... They don't seem aware that India and Asia aren't part of Europe.
I voted leave but rest assured the majority of us are are absolutely appalled at the racist xenophobes. You are loved and cherished and will be protected by every right thinking person. Our bonds go back a long way and will not be on your own.
" they will know how it feels like to be at the other end"
No problem the Polish community in the UK dealt with the national front and the skinheads through the 60;s and 70's nothing new here, Poles will deal with business.
perhaps it is news to you that there are thousands
Is it something like 35 000 english immigrants living in Poland? And you got no manners: one do not answer wit question it's very. Did you learn some table manner or? You people are blessed in this subject.
The anti-Polish graffiti was discovered on Sunday morning. The articles you provided only mention official statements being made on Monday. Why the delay?
Even then it was only your out-going PM who actually made reference to the Polonophobic attack on POSK as quoted by him in the Guardian. The Standard article makes just a passing reference to the racist vandalism. The mayor actually made no direct comment about it.
Indeed, read his official statement. It's all generalities.
Unfortunately Polonophobic bigots are completely ignorant and they absolutely do need to see and hear specifically from political and community leaders that their particular brand of racism is and always will be unacceptable and never tolerated.
Dispensing platitudes about diversity mean nothing if someone in of all things the position of mayor isn't willing to identify Poles by name as being an important, integral and longstanding part of London's and Britain's community and history and that Polonophobia in any form will be met with immediate public condemnation as well as the swift application and full fury of the criminal justice codes.
Was Sunday a day off for him and so that meant he couldn't invoice for the time?
Neither he nor the mayor took a moment on Sunday to visit the center and talk to her about it and provide assurances to the Polish community in Britain even though they both could and should have.
you and i both know the score, we will have to take care of ourselves as always.
Absolutely. If a similar attack had been targeted at another segment of the community there would have been politicians and reporters tripping over themselves in their rush to get to the scene.
Neither he nor the mayor took a moment on Sunday to visit the center and talk to her about it and provide assurances to the Polish community in Britain even though they both could and should have.
I agree with you.
Not that the Polish government would have done anything if the boot was on the other foot. Did they comment about the racially motivated murder of Jo Cox? If so, it passed me by.
Last Friday your PM was fighting back the tears during his resignation speech because his political career came to an unanticipated and spectacularly devastating end.
On Sunday he had no tears left to help wash off the anti-Polish graffiti smeared all over the entrance to POSK.
On Monday he was merely paying lip service and only did so after he had to be asked by Daniel Kawczynski MP to show solidarity with the Polish community in London.
Don't know what the OMP is but I do know that graffiti like this is usually by the 'victim'. There have been a few over the past couple of years, mainly to do with being gay or Jewish. Turns out Gay and Jewish people were responsible. Just sayin'
There is also a Polski Graffiti crew called OMP though I don't know if there are any in London. facebook.com/1838028186422627/photos/a.1933365663555545.1073741829.1838028186422627/2023137887911655
I assume you've never heard of hate hoaxes. By now, in the US the default assumption would be that a "hate crime" was committed by the "victim". Put "hate hoax" into google and you'll find lots of examples.
But that's the US, I don't know if it works that way in the UK (yet).
mafketis: Don't you see that, if it were as you insinuate, in this particular situation the victims would only cause harm to themselves? Your theory is simply absurd.
