Hi guys, it may be news to some of you, or a reminder to others that it is possible for you to declare yourselves bankrupt here in England thanks to EU Insolvency laws. You need to show that England is your centre of main interest (COMI), but I can help with that.

I am a qualified solicitor (non practising) who has a debt help company and I take people through the bankruptcy process, helping them restart again.

If you would like to talk through any debt problem you have or might want to recommend some one to me, I'd be more than happy to help.

Here is a link to a piece I have written relating to Poles in England and bankruptcy.

You will need to add the w w w to the front of the link just for now.

Are you possibly suggesting, let Poles rack up a nice hefty bill, then let them wipe the whole lot through bankruptcy, because they have no assets?! Letting us as taxpayers foot the bill of the fact that loads of debt won't be paid, because lets face it, unless you have a pretty big house, and lots of nice cars for bankruptcy, you ain't gonna get alot back to creditors.

helping them restart again.

But eventually, 20 years in the future, lose any assets they have in Poland, as the EU standardises its bankruptcy rules.

I always wondered, but how do these people make money out of people going bankrupt?

Brilliant... so not only do they put up the cost of UK housing and drive down UK workers wages, but we have to pick up the tab for their bankruptcy as well! Don't you just LOVE the policies of the EUSSR?

I don't suppose you get much for a clapped-out Opel with "go-faster" stripes either, lol.

Its a dog eat dog world, every man for himself, this dude is just doing the same making money for himself, playing the game as we all are.

No shame really we all do it, for the car, the house, the wife, the children.

Dont dis him dis the system....
Is a financial control analyst for reputative dining establishments any different? going in with advice like "sell these cheap sausages and crap bacon, and you will save £350,000 per annum"?

Were all slaves to the system, its just different degrees of scam culture.

That's spot on. Life is a contract (I can hear SeanBM laughing by now) and we can take things or leave them.

Middle to upper class dont complain as they have what they want, nice cars, houses etc.. Theres a money making machine behind everything. I was talking with my wife today and i cant remember a serious medical breakthrough other than viagra over the past 10 fcuking years.

Viagra worked for the biggest company (Pfiszer) like a dream, bring on a tablet for cancer and think how much the big boys would lose! They'll prevent it with everrything they have. Money over lives.

Thanks for the feed back vitriolic or not.

No I am not struck off. I have got fed up with the billable hour culture of all legal firms which reguire you to bill 6 minute units at £250 per hour.

I think I can offer better value at a hugely reduced cost.

There is no legal aid for this. I charge as little as £250 to help someone go bankrupt, giving all legal advice, filing in the papers, attending at court to see the judge, support for a year after. I don't see that as ripping off people. It is exceptional value for money.

I don't advocate running up debts, (even if anyone can actually get credit), but this is dealing with debt that has already been acrued, in all probability in Poland and using an EU system to clear your debts here and not in Poland.

There is nothing sinister here, it is what 120,000 UK citizens will do this year.

I am happy to answer any more questions or rebut any other false presumptions.

attending at court to see the judge

More like a registrar in a small room...Hardly a big trial is it?! Besides...Anyone with half a brain cell can manage to go to the court on their own, all they do is ask a few questions, then stamp the papers making you bankrupt.

It is exceptional value for money.

Don't forget the £500 give or take it is, to actually make yourself bankrupt....

it is what 120,000 UK citizens will do this year.

Yeah UK Citizens...We don't need any more thank you very much. Go bankrupt in your own country. Instead of using our resources, our money to get you there.

No it's not a big trial.

It does cost fees of a maximum of £610 to pay for the court fees and the Offcial Receiver's deposit.

You seem very antagonistic about those from abroad using our courts to go bankrupt, but the same operates the other way around. If someone from Engalnd and Wales resides with their centre of main interest in an EU state, they can go bankrupt in that country.

What people here are paying for with my help is the special expertise that is necessary to get someone from the EU processed properly and without hitch.

Why would you want to go bancrupt? I think that's a bit lame. Basically you want to avoid that as you will lose all independence financially.

>^..^<

M-G (bancrupcy is a bit defaitistic as well)

No, actually this would be positive for the UK economy and bad for the Polish economy. EU citizens can get out of their Polish debts by paying a UK company.

What is your experience of Polish people that have run up huge debts whilst living here ?

I work in collections for a UK bank the numbers of Eastern Europeans we are chasing for money is rising and rising fast

If a foreign national goes bankrupt they should be kicked out of the UK on their way back from the bankruptcy hearing.

That's what I said. They should do it once, and then that's it, a ban on coming here.
