"I am the Kukiz of London," Jan Żyliński told TVN24. "I was born. raised and educated in the UK but have always felt like a seocnd-class citizen here. That is British imperialism. They simply think they are better. But London is also my city. There are now 500,000 maybe even 850,000 Poles in London. The Hindus and Muslims and others also feel like second-class citizens and they will support me," he explained.

That's why he owns a neoclassical mansion in Ealing. Very second-class.

Remember that this is the same guy who built that house in Ealing that the neighbours went mad about. Extremely wealthy so very far indeed from a second-class anything. Not that Poles are 'second-class citizens' in the UK anyway.

Exhibitionists are so entertaining to watch...

If it's true that he felt like a second class citizen, even though he was born in the UK, that says more about him than about British society. It sounds like he has a massive chip on his shoulder. As a Londoner, I've known and worked with hundreds of people who found their home there, and while some of the non-white ones may have experienced racism, they never claimed to have been very discriminated against. For someone born there to speak like this is very strange.

I've just seen a couple of YT clips about this guy. He styles himself Prince. I can't see many London Poles voting for him, let alone anyone else.

Very second-class

He didn't say he was indigent but felt being treated like a second-class citizen in a socio-politcal sense and he pinpointed the root cause: British imperialism. The British imperialist mentality, sense of superiority and tendency to look down on "wogs" of every type.

I think he is or was a lawyer. That house (actually a rebuilding of an architecturally significant twentieth century house that just escaped being listed) should be a warning sign. I'm all for people making amazing buildings however that is kitsch. It's the equivalent of you or I building a pastiche of a nouveau-riche English house in the Warsaw suburbs, and not even something tasteful like Lutyens. More Voysey-esqe mock-Tudor roadside restaurant style. And he lets it out for parties too.

Good that flamboyant people exist, but why the Polish thing? Saying he feels like a 'second-class citizen' He's born and bred in Britain, in London, the most multicultural city in Europe, but is making an exhibition of himself over the ethnicity of his forbears. This together with the building suggests self-esteem issues. That or a huge lack of self-awareness.

On the other hand, he does seem like a genuine British eccentric and they are to be encouraged.

but have always felt like a seocnd-class citizen here.

Looking at his 'taste', it's easy to understand why he might feel inferior.

He won't get voted in. He is just playing mental games with his countrymen and playing to the " I am a victim " mindset, suckas!.

The imperialist mentality, Polonius? You have clearly never lived among ordinary British people, who are incredibly tolerant and accepting. Imaging a million Brits suddenly arriving in Poland, or even the USA. Would they get the same welcome Poles in the UK have received? That this rich fantacist quotes such a jerk as Farage just shows how out of touch he really is.

Sorry that reality doesn't fit the American stereotype of top hatted imperialists, but there it is. Perhaps a trip to the UK would open your eyes a bit.

Spot on. He's extremely rich, extremely eccentric (one definition of that is that people who are genuine eccentrics don't realise how strange their behaviour is) and he's deluded if he thinks Poles are treated as second-class citizens in the UK.

He's also an Ealing person - someone who has always lived in the most Polish district in London. If he's ever been treated as a second-class citizen it is more likely to have been by some of the more respectable and less flamboyant British Poles in the neighbourhood.

eccentric

Just a point to ponder -- the proportion of eccentrics is roughly the same in all classes, but why is it people and the media are fascianted by an eccentric millionaire but not by an eccentrivc homelss?

Perhaps because their eccentricity is more noticeable, more newsworthy (how many people build a fantasy palace in the suburbs and then issue press releases challenging politicians to a duel) and they are less likely to be stuck in the isolation that poverty drags the odd and unfortunate to.

This man Zylinski is a prime example - he has the funds to promote himself. A person with such weird ideas and tastes living in a council flat or bedsit is less interesting to the media and is more likely to be quietly pitied rather than discussed.

well what do you expect, the UK isn't your country. Did you fathers, grandfather and great grandfathers build this country, fight for this country or sweat over its society ? no.

I am Polish and Poland is my home, I live in the UK, but it isn't my country, do not think that just because you come here to work and live that all of a sudden you are British.

Just remember why you came here, and you got it ! ... UK has given you wealth and better opportunities, try being grateful instead of moaning ok.

The British imperialist mentality, sense of superiority and tendency to look down on "wogs" of every type.

I dont disagree, but London is really not like that, and has not been for many years.
Honestly if this Zylinski felt like that in London, he must have been out there actively searching for "racism".
Massive chip on shoulder.
As for him representing Indians and so on, that is actually quite amusing from what I know about London society.
Let's just say that the English are not the most racist people in the capital....:)

Hmmm... yes. 250000 Poles fought to defend the UK. My experience was the British most certainly appreciated it.

The strike he was promoting and the mass demonstration in London attracted 12 participants, 5 of whom were Polish. All were members of the Socialist Workers' Party.

But hey, he got plenty of media coverage.

Gdzie glosowac na Jana zylinskiego?

Please use English in this forum.
Translation: Where to vote on Jan Zylinski?

In London, in the place you are registered to vote. If you look at your local council's website (the London Borough, NOT the Mayoral site) it will list polling stations - you need to go to your local one since you will be turned away from any other. It should also be listed on the Polling Card that you receive in the mail. You do not need to take this card with you to vote, however nowadays some ID is a good idea. Alternatively ask at the local office of any political party or email Zylinski's campaign office. If they do not get back to you this is a bad sign. Your local public library will also be able to advise.

Worth mentioning that Zylinski is a sort of joke candidate and probably does not have much of a campaign team.

A few points. Firstly, he is not, in any sense a 'prince'. Secondly, he claimed he was going to be the Conservative candidate, and that he had been approached by people 'from the very top of the party' to put himself forward as candidate. This was obviously ********. Finally, he is regarded as something of a folk hero by ordinary Poles in the UK and is lionised by the Polish media. This suggests that not only pan Jan has self-esteem issues, but that a great many Poles share his 'small dick syndrome' world-view.

Some of you may find this facebook page amusing:

I came from Poland 35yr ago and can confirm that English people always look down at foreigners. However others like French are even worse. British people have to wake up and realise that great empire is finished. And after referendum they probably will. This world would be much better without borders of any kind. When it comes to Polish people, they were under occupation of foreigners for 200yrs then British sold them to Stalin for another 50yrs. Polish pilots were the most successful in the Battle of Britain, they fought in Africa, Italy and every front. Also it was 3 Polish mathematicians who broke Enigma code, but British people don't want to know it. When it comes to Polish scroungers, World Bank estimates that they will contribute to British economy by little sum of £63.7billion by 2020! Regards.

English people always look down at foreigners. However others like French are even worse.

Countries, cultures and people are changing. If I was a Brit I would look at London once and never return. White Brits are losing badly. Some of them see their country being destroyed by mass immigration, more crime, and worst conditions. Some of them leave to other nations. Their future is likely doomed. It will change like Sweden for the worst.

As for borders? Only Globalists and Cultural Marxists dislike them. Without borders Poland would likely not exist and we'd be speaking Russian or German (yuck).

Have you been there, rather than just reading (and posting) rubbish on 'stormfront'?

more crime

Crime is falling

worst conditions

Quality of life is improving

mass immigration

Is no bad thing at all...

In any case, Żylinski isn't an anti-immigration candidate. far from it in fact...

Also it was 3 Polish mathematicians who broke Enigma code, but British people don't want to know it.

It's not that simple but they certainly started the ball rolling and made a vital contribution as has been acknowledged in recent years.

The pioneering work of the Poles was done before the war and the code was altered and produced by the Germans in many different forms over the subsequent years, the cipher system being changed daily. The code had to be cracked repeatedly and one must bear in mind that a team of hundreds (including many nationalities) was involved in this.

bletchleypark.org.uk/content/hist/worldwartwo/enigma.rhtm

That doesn't detract from the brilliance of Alan Turing, an immensely gifted individual. Credit should be given where it's due. Turing was a genius, not merely a great mathematician. Even today in computing a true computing language is classified as 'Turing Complete'.
