matty521521 1 | 3 15 Jul 2013 / #1Im 14-17 years old and i got a 170zl (around $53) fine for riding without a ticket. The only thing I showed him was my passport and he showed me on a piece of paper the sum. I tried to explain to him but he wouldn't budge. Im going back soon how will I recieve it, if I recieve it at all? Should I pay it? Should I not? They wouldn't send out a warrant for $53 would they? If you have any info please let me know!
Monitor 13 | 1810 15 Jul 2013 / #2" I tried to explain to him" - what?if you're from out of EU then they'll not charge you..

Monitor 13 | 1810 15 Jul 2013 / #7SO DO I GET A TICKET MAILED TO ME IN CANADA OR NOT?o, you mentioned Canada. It's not in EU, so I doubt they would try to take this money from you with use of the law.but you may receive letter.
delphiandomine 86 | 17823 15 Jul 2013 / #8SO DO I GET A TICKET MAILED TO ME IN CANADA OR NOT?Quite likely. You can ignore it, but if you do, you may find that entering Schengen in future proves to be a problem. Poland is not adverse to abusing European Arrest Warrants to get people extradited to Poland for trivial sums of money.
OP matty521521 1 | 3 16 Jul 2013 / #9No I didn't give my address just showed him my passport and he wrote some stuff down, im hoping nothing shows up in the future haha
poland_ 16 Jul 2013 / #10Matty they will stop you at the passport control at the airport on exit, better to pay your fine now, as there is a 150% premium at passport control. You don't want to be a criminal for the sake of a 170 Zlotys.
