Poland in photo riddles

Among polish communities and in Poland most go mouth not hand. Or you kneel, priest puts in your mouth and there's an altar boy with like a big spatula looking thing kind of like what you use for taking pizza out the oven. Atmericant's hand.

It's kind of sad that people use to kill each other over this stuff like how many fingers to use when making the sign of the cross.

That's called the Communion plate. It's in case the host falls to the ground when it's being transferred from priest to communicant. The handle (or sometimes handles) ensures that the altar boy has a firm grip and is less likely to drop the plate - it goes like this: they're worried that the host might fall so they decide to have a plate to catch it, but then the altar boy might drop the plate thus startling the priest and communicant who in turn might drop the host and ...........so it goes on.............ah the world of religion :))

Talking about dragons, what does this one represent?

Pretty sure it's nothing to do with the Wawel Dragon. No idea at all, but I'm sure that circle with the star in has some significance.

It might. My guess its some football ( a soccer) fans mural or whatnot. Cracovia?

Or you kneel, priest puts in your mouth

Seldom do people kneel today. I see it only during First Holy Communion.

No idea at all, but I'm sure that circle with the star in has some significance.

Yes, it is crucial. Tha dragon is only a decoration, actually it could also be a knight (but not a princess)

My guess its some football ( a soccer) fans mural or whatnot. Cracovia

You are very close, try harder.

PS. Guys, I would also like you to guess the location of the mural, I mean the facility. As it might be tricky, you can have 10 guesses at a time, to save time and space.

My guess its some football

On the day shown on the date stamp Poland played Northern Ireland in Euro 2016, but still can't get that logo thingy.
The answer will probably be as obscure as the traffic noise screen with drive-throughs one...............

I mean the facility.

Football stadium in Poland?

Why don`t you google the main motiff of the photo then? Combine it with Krakow and bingo!

Sorry, not a football stadium. My hint: sth much trickier. :)

While pondering on White Star riddle, the next one is waiting:

What is it?

bingo!

Wisła Kraków.

sth much trickier. :)

And obscure :(
An art museum in Kraków?
To be honest I've seen lots of graffiti type art like that in Poland, especially in Lodz, but it's always been on buildings.

What is it?

You're going to make a tincture of amber for medicinal purposes.

Wisła Kraków.To be honest I've seen lots of graffiti type art like that in Poland, especially in Lodz, but it's always been on buildings.

Yes, White Star is a symbol of the oldest Polish soccer club.

That mural was also on a building, that is why I asked about the facility. No, it is not a stadium or museum. I advised to provide ten hypothetical facilities at a time.

You're going to make a tincture of amber for medicinal purposes.

Yes, but what medicinal purpose exactly?

Spiritus and amber

Spiritus is in English?

What is the situation in this photo? You should provide a few details....

I would also like you to guess the location of the mural

It could be anywhere to be honest, but my guesses:

Wisła Kraków clubhouse, although I am doubtful you went there for a vist ;)
Graffiti Park in Podgórze.
Małopolska Garden of the Arts.
Somewhere in the vicinity of Bulwar Wołyński.

what medicinal purpose exactly?

Not sure, but it is meant to have anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.

What is the situation in this photo

Midnight mass after the Wigilia dinner. It is now Xmas day and people are celebrating the birth of Jesus. There looks to be a traditional nativity scene in the background.

It could be anywhere to be honest, but my guesses:

Yes, anywhere but not the ones you suggested. A hint - it is a facility on which such murals shouldn`t exist at all! But in Poland anything goes. :)

anti-inflammatory properties.

Yes, against inflammation, where exactly in my human body? ):

Midnight mass after the Wigilia dinner.

Yes!

This picture hangs in my summer house. Where exactly? Also, there is a certain metal object attached to it with a string. What?

Define 'facility' :))
Hmm, it's not on a church wall or sth?

where exactly in my human body? ):

Well it's clearly your brain ;)
Liver or kidneys? :(

This picture hangs in my summer house. Where exactly?

You forgot where you put it? ;)
Summer house as in a second residence e.g it's hanging in the 'American room ' or a gazebo affair in the back garden?
My guess regarding the metal object is an American coin e.g a dollar, cent, nickel etc

Hmm, it's not on a church wall or sth?

Not a church.
Hmm, sorry, I thought that facility is clear in the context of the photo - I explain it to my students as an object which faciliates people`s lives. It is in the city, so it is an urban facility. It is on a wall so it must be a structure, possibly a building. What kind of building? I don`t know what else I can say. :)

Well it's clearly your brain ;)

Fighting inflammation in my brain?? :):):) After extensive arguing in the forum, you mean :) Sorry, no brain or liver.
BTW, you do know how amber spirit is used?

"You forgot where you put it? ;) "

:):)

Summer house as in a second residence e.g it's hanging in the 'American room ' or a gazebo affair in the back garden?

No need to be so detailed, just a type of room is enough.

The object hanging underneath isn`t connected with American contexts.

I thought that facility is clear in the context of the photo -

Not to me! Is it some sort of sports facility e.g a gym or a youth club?

you do know how amber spirit is used?

Increasing number of drops taken daily to a maximum, then drops are decreased, followed by a rest period.

type of room

Kitchen?
As for the object it could be anything, pen? spoon?

I bet you're finding this almost painful.............

Not to me! Is it some sort of sports facility e.g a gym or a youth club?

Yes, it is a gym! And, unfortunately it is not the end, the gym is only a part of a bigger facility! What namely? So easy now....

Increasing number of drops taken daily to a maximum, then drops are decreased, followed by a rest period.

Great! :):) But how are the drops applied?

Kitchen? As for the object it could be anything, pen? spoon? I bet you're finding this almost painful.......

Not kitchen but you are close. Not a pen or spoon, but sth else- namely, a tool. And not painful as I am doing it for your sake because I like helping people. So easy now....

It isn't! Is it part of a school/college or university campus?

But how are the drops applied?

With a dropper from a glass dropping bottle, or do you mean how exactly are they taken?

a tool

Screwdriver?

The more riddles we do, the later we come down with it. .

I might be delaying the onset for a good while then! Cryptic crosswords and chess are also good :)

Yes, it is a school in a rogue district of a big city. :)

Not a dropper, but a hand. :)

Not screwdriver but a hammer. :)

Yes, chess is good but boring. :) Always black and white.

Sorry, Father`s Day is on 23 June, indeed, but the photo shows 26 and the difference matters.

Why hoping it was from me, not for me? :):):) Do you suggest males don`t/shouldn`t/mustn`t get flowers in Poland?

Try again and think of other occasions/celebrations/holidays around 21-26 June.

Successful thesis (licencjat or magister) defense? The flowers look a lot like the ones students give their advisers/comittee heads (promotor in Polish)

Sorry, maf, that occassion wouldn`t include a box of chocolates with engraved hearts on them. :)

Last day of school, for sure

Yes, of course. :)

Vacation time:

In what kind of places can you see such decorations in Poland?

Wow, a riddle within a riddle! What did Churchill say exactly about the Soviet Union? Delph, you made my day.:) Yes, I glanced at that pile of schoolbooks while I was loading the photo and I thought it was for maths but now I am not sure.
Dirk diggler  10 | 4452
13 Mar 2019 /  #2158
What did Churchill say exactly about the Soviet Union?

He talked about how Jews regularly cause upheaval and try to screw up social order. They especially take advantage when a society is in a precarious situation He lists several instances throughout history where Jews did this and that Russia at that time was the most recent example.

You can read about it in Churchill's essay Zionism vs bolshevism - the struggle for Jewish people's soul. He understood hand rubbing merchants quite well.

Do you suggest males don`t/shouldn`t/mustn`t get flowers in Poland?

No. Unlesss they're fags.
OP pawian  221 | 25273
14 Mar 2019 /  #2159
No, mentioning Churchill`s comment on Russia after the invasion of Poland by the Red Army in 1939 I meant a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma Pity this historical allusion got wasted on you. Instead, you came up with that Jewish obsession of yours again. Aren`t you ever bored with it? :):)

No. Unlesss they're fags.

:):) Tell us, when was the last time you visited Poland? Have you ever stayed here longer than one day during your visits? Because your replies sometimes prove you know nothing about this country. You can google thousands of photos of Polish males receiving flowers, especially from women, on various occasions.
