Poland property ownership question - becoming a half owner of the house without marriage?

Hi everyone,

If somebody has any advice would be much appreciated, here is my situation.

I'm from UK originally currently living in Wroclaw with my gilfriend, who is from Wroclaw. Were having a baby soon and are living in a house together. The house is in her name only at the moment, but I am paying the mortgage costs.

My questin is if it's possible to become a half owner of the house, without being married? If anybody could recommend a relevant lawyer in Wroclaw also would be great.

From what I know you can-she has to go to notariusz and sign you as a second owner.You'll have to pay taxes and the house will be half yours.

Thankyou Lenka, and if we were married I believe taxes would not be payable.....is that correct?
