What do you, as a Pole, think of Albania (as a land, history etc...) and Albanians (girls and guys)?

I wanted to know why is the average opinion of the Poles about this very unknown country? I have seen many Poles in Albania on holiday. I personally view Polish people as hard working (really really hard working), a bit aloof and linea sad deep down, although they do not show it. But I don't know what Poles think about Albanians. Actually Poland was the very forst slavic country to recognize Kosovo.

Well, it's also a good start, since lots of people have really no idea about him. But I guess it's due to the strong catholicism in Poland. Anyway, it was noce to head a good thing. Our national hero is also famous in Poland. Cool :)

Polish people view Albania as the armpit of Europe. The country doesn't have a good opinion amongst Poles.

Well you know quite a lot. You have my respect.
A lot of people I know, even educated ones have told me about how they feel sorry for the countries where sharia law rules of course refering to Albania. Or asked if I had to walk through Turkey and swim to Greece to reach EU.

I don't think Poles spend much time thinking or even caring about Albania.

If they have any views at all, they will be pretty negative....

Probably the most thought anyone in Poland gives about Albania is deciding where to go on holiday. Albanian resorts are growing in popularity with Polish tourists since Croatia became outrageously expensive for what it is.

I don't think Polish attitudes differ much from the general European pattern of not thinking about Albanians one way or the other.

In general the closer and longer the contact between Albanians and other Europeans... the worse the attitudes are. Albanians are not popular as neighbors and among European peoples second only to gypsies in unpopularity...

We'll see how the increasing popularity of Albania as a tourist destination affects perceptions. I'd like to go myself as the language is intriguing (to say the least) and I really like a lot of pseudo-traditional Albanian music that I've seen on youtube (tremendous fun with lots of weddings, nationalist symbols, folklore and horses...)

not thinking about Albanians one way or the other.

Being in PL for longer than Dirk's been alive, I don't remember anyone expressing an opinion about Albanians. And Poles are seldom hesitant about expressing opinions.

the increasing popularity of Albania as a tourist destination

Apparently well worth visiting.

False. Most Polish people know next to nothing about Albania so they are indifferent. A few of my students admitted going on holiday there.
